You will not deceive me,
If I do right I know I’m righteous,
Even as Jesus is righteous;
And I will not sin
For I abide in him
And in him there is no sin

He was manifest
To take away our sins
And in him there is no sin.
I’m in him and will not sin.
He’s in me and cannot sin.
For in him there is no sin.

If this is about not willingly sinning, then I get the poem. As when we are saved in Christ, we are seen as clean before the Father.

But if it is about not sinning ever, we wouldn't be honest with ourselves and with others. And most of all; We wouldn't be honest toward God.

We will not have any joy in sinning, when we are born again and living in and for Christ. So we will desire to keep away from this, and trusting in our Saviour's grace which is bestowed upon us.
