Not at all.

I dislike the New Age stuff because it's superstitious nonsense based on pseudoscience and often indulged in by fantasy prone personalities.

Unlike Christianity which is free of superstition and fantasy.

if he wants to be a christian fundamentalist then he can do that. God is his judge not I.

Rom 14:15-23 (YLT)
and if through victuals thy brother is grieved, no more dost thou walk according to love; do not with thy victuals destroy that one for whom Christ died. Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of, for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit; for he who in these things is serving the Christ, is acceptable to God and approved of men. So, then, the things of peace may we pursue, and the things of building up one another; for the sake of victuals cast not down the work of God; all things, indeed, are pure, but evil is to the man who is eating through stumbling. Right it is not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything in which thy brother doth stumble, or is made to fall, or is weak. Thou hast faith! to thyself have it before God; happy is he who is not judging himself in what he doth approve, and he who is making a difference, if he may eat, hath been condemned, because it is not of faith; and all that is not of faith is sin.

G4102 πίστις pistis (pis'-tis) n.
1. persuasion, i.e. credence
2. (morally) conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher)
3. (especially) reliance upon Christ for salvation
4. (abstractly) constancy in such profession
5. (by extension) the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself
[from G3982]
KJV: assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity
Root(s): G3982

G3982 πείθω peitho (pei'-tho) v.
1. to convince (by argument, true or false)
2. (by analogy) to pacify or conciliate (by other fair means)
3. (reflexively or passively) to assent (to evidence or authority), to rely (by inward certainty)
[a primary verb]
KJV: agree, assure, believe, have confidence, be (wax) conflent, make friend, obey, persuade, trust, yield

What do you dislike about New Age?
When examining spiritual paths I have a spiritual filter that I run everything through. The New Age stuff fails my filter on most counts. My filter goes like this:

Truth can not be sold
Truth can not be bought
Truth is not the teacher.
Truth is not money
Truth is not phenomenon
Truth is not paraphernalia
Truth is not extraordinary claims
Truth is not narcissistic

I think that both new agers and christian fundamentalism are just outward ideologies at worst and at best they serve as angelic guides which point to an ever greater truth that is the very life God wishes to give to all of us. so I find it very hard to properly judge any soul since I don't have an Gods eye view of reality.

I hope you're out of the new age by now.

I have explored many paths. Many could be called new age. Many are more established. Currently I am becoming Catholic, but I still do value my journey through paths that some would consider 'new age'.

Interesting. Only as a comment, I don't consider myself a person who is into New Age spirituality. In the same breath, I have no doubt that if someone were to look at my spiritual trajectory from the outside that they would more than likely say otherwise.

I agree. I used 'new age' as it seems that's the 'catch all' term for anything that isn't a more established belief system. I personally didn't consider any of my paths 'new age', but whatever. :D

I've been a new ager without even knowing I was in the new age. I just identified myself as 'spiritual'.
You know something's wrong when you have insomnia and nighttares every night. Somethings's wrong when you're angry all the time or you feel your brain pulsating. Something's wrong when you use cocaine and have greed for $$. Something's wrong if you're sensitive to everything around you. Something's very wrong if you've become egoistic.

There are only two sources of power: one from God, one from Satan

because of the new age I've become schizophrenic. I'm emotionally and mentally unstable. I'm in constant fear every night and can't stay alone in the room. I hear someone whispering my name.

Wake up. the devil is already working on you. Darkness disguises himself as light most of the time; and that's exactly what's fooling you into still believing the practices.

I noticed the "Catholic" label recently and was wanting to ask you about it. You were an ex-Christian for many years, and it is difficult for me to imagine any scenario that could resurrect your belief in the Nicene Creed and all the rest of it.

What were your spiritual practices when you identified as 'spiritual'?

zodiac>astrology>numerology>witchcraft>soul guides>angels>tarot>astral projection>clairvoyance>empath>etc. a mix of Buddhism and Hinduism here and there

I discontinued my studies so everyday I would just sit in front of my computer and study nonstop, whole day everyday.

In a state of high vibration everyday. My head hurt from that lol. Glad God got me out of that mess. But it really sucks to be schizophrenic. 'Fear' gets me every night.

Ironic thing is, I started looking for other truths because I didn't believe the bible, and what got me out is a bible verse about divination.

So jealous that the devil went after you while you didn't even know what you were doing and I've been a practicing witch for 20 years and never had any demonic experience ever.

I propose your fear and emotional instability have nothing to do with your religious practices and everything to do with the state of your brain.

I'm not religious or anything. But my pastor once told us to put our faith in the right places. I just put my faith in the wrong one when I was still practicing all those stuff.

I totally get where you're coming from. But I have to tell you, it's a false light you have. What you think is right isn't always right (but God is always right.)

Darkness is the absence of light. The teaching says that darkness is okay because it co-exists with light.
but in the bible it says that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

You may think that 'all truths' is the truth but that's not the truth at all. There really exists absolute truth and I found it in Jesus Christ.

I hope I somehow put a seed of doubt in you. I know in head your you're just thinking that I was overcome by fear which is why I reverted back to being a Christian.

It's nothing I haven't heard a thousand times before, but honestly, the arrogance of assuming to know what I believe and practice and deeming it necessarily evil is very off-putting.

Sorry if I offended you in any way. What I'm trying to get across to you is that I've been there, done that and maybe JUST MAYBE if you at least try to find Jesus then you'd see my point of view too.

The truth isn't always what you want to hear, which is why the gospel is only for those who have ears to listen. and I do hope you'll listen.

Can I ask you to pray to God right now? even if you don't believe in God
Just ask God to show you the truth of Jesus Christ, if he is the Truth, the Way, and the Life.

Don't take it personally, I've probably gotten dozens of these types of engagements on here over the ten years I've been on the forum. So has @awitch you'd probably be happier just posting somewhere else, just a bit of friendly advice.

For all of this being in league with the devil it sure is working out nice; I'm exceptionally happy with my lot in life and not a hint of a curse or an apparition. Curious how since I'm not Christian, Christian imagery doesn't make itself present in my psyche, either.

You know something's wrong when...

I knew what I was doing. Seeking is not an easy path. It can easily throw you for a loop. It can also teach you a lot about yourself and the world. I fled back into Christianity a few times over the years to re-center myself. Eventually though my 'center' moved away from Christianity into other religions and paths until 8-9 years later my center was agnosticm. It still is but I am feeling a pull to explore Christianity again as a Catholic.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope you find a stable path.
