Romans 7:18 (KJV)
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:~~
“I don’t what to be that.”
This thing that I am in myself. This thing that, in scripture says; in no good thing dwells. This thing that I was born into when I was born into this fallen world.
This thing is that thing that Christ came to free me from. This fallen nature that is incapable of doing righteousness. This nature that is sold into sin. It is out of this darkness, misery and sin, that Christ has called me.
So praise be to God for such a great and awesome salvation brought in by Christ Jesus Himself to and for me. For He did this by taking me to death with Him on the cross. For as my sinfulness came in by a birth, my sinfulness must go out by a death... Just the same way as my life came in by a birth, my life can only end by a death... It is my birth into this fallen world that is my separation from God. So than the birth that I had in this fallen realm must come to an end... Henceforth the need to be born again....This exchange of life, the old for the new is done by the faith of the heart turned towards it. This turning towards it must be a constant turning moment by moment, a constant wanting to be freed from the birth that I received at the time of my birth in this world. For unless I receive the new birth in the time of my life in this world, I am stuck with my fallen nature as the nature of my life for all of eternity.
But praise be to God for calling me out of this darkness into the light of His life by making me a partaker of the Divine Nature, a nature that is as free from unrighteousness as my fallen nature was free from righteousness.
Such an awesome salvation I have!.... But not just me, but all that would call on His name.
All hope for all, in Christ Jesus, Not me
