"Ms. Guyger had worked 40 hours over the previous four days, including a 13.5-hour shift on the day of the shooting."
^ this should have been emphasized
the fact that the apts were exactly over each other, shows she went the correct no. of steps (just on wrong floor)
He had a red welcome mat. She did not. He had some kind of table by the door, she did not.
Good thing that was emphasized.
working 13.5 hrs shift- if anything her job is just as responsible
people are not meant to work that long & because of being tired, she entered wrong apt
And shot the guy in his own apartment.
a man was in what she thought was HER apt
Apparently, she had a history of sharing aggressive memes on her instagram in which killing people joked about, and had some racist text messages. And apparently had had some arguments with the guy she killed in the past about loud music or something.
any man in one's apt would make a woman fear for her life
But it was HIS apartment, not hers.
it is tragic what happened but believe it was an accident
People pay for 'accidents' all the time in our justice system. Especially when they result in an innocent person's death.
why would she PLAN to go kill someone after working a 13.5 hr day ??
Many first responders work 12 or 24 hour shifts. When I was in the military, we would sometimes pull 24 hour guard shifts. One time, I was pulling such a shift when my unit was put on alert, and since I was on duty, I had to remain on duty until the alert was over, some 10 hours later - a 32 hour 'day.'
But when my shift was finally over, I knew where my room in the barracks was.
What, exactly, do you think should have happened?
That she should have gotten away with it with no punishment at all?
Isn't there enough of that going around?
