Lets pump up the joy shall we. Did you know.. heaven rejoiced when JUST YOU came to Christ. I remember a woman ..she was a grand mother prayed 4 hours a day.. she told me to read John.. she called it.. the love book or something like that. As Him as you read to open your eyes.. watch as HIS word.. jumps out at you.. those parts.. are another way....He is speaking to you. He talks more then we do.. and loves you.. never against you. He is ALWAYS with you.. for you. What He started in you.. He will finish. His word is His will. Those promises are for you also.

For me.. I always make sure.. it has to be written. Just thinking again.. we tend to look at GOD like w do man. Well I have kids.. yet GOD.. blows me away.. made all this for you. As if you were the only one. You will stand in heaven with.. billions.. yet.. He only sees you. Lets you know.. your the most important thing to Him.. you see it..you feel it.. and then you know He treats ALL like this.. AWESOME! He is not man. Hes GOD and He can do this.. HOW I don't know. THINK about it.. GOD.. of Abraham Issac and Jacob.. Christ.. believers.. that GOD is also..Abba.. your Father. Always for you.. cares about EVERY tiny thing you do.

Hes with you when you wake up.. school work sleep play... He is also the perfect gentleman. A spirit but you get the meaning lol. WOW.. never get enough.. just talked my self happy!

Don't believe me..no really don't. Jesus is REAL! Closer then any family member.. He is real. You read.. you study.. you ask...but KNOW He always hears you.. the word.. if we know He hears us.. we know we have the petitions we asked for. His will is His word your Father always hears you.. Always wants to answer.. always gives. Read ... ask HIM to open your eyes. I always pray.. Father if I have any of this wrong.. forgive me.. change me 1st.. in JESUS name. I can not begin to tell you.. how LOVED you are... WELCOME! I pray I didnt offend

There is indeed a LOT to learn about God and the Christian faith. The good news for us Christians however is this, we've got time, an eternity of time, in fact .. John 5:24, and that with a Helper who is/always will be with us to teach us and guide us .. John 14:16, 26; 1 Corinthians 2:12-16.

The alpha course is a good program. I attended 3 yrs ago even though I have been a Christian for many years. I agree with most of the things the video says except when it speaks about God's guidance. It says that when we need to make important decisions, God will reveal His will to us through prayer, the Scriptures or through signs - - some of these. However, most Christians will know from experience that it is not so black and white. My belief is God guides us at certain points, not at every turn. Sure, we can pray about certain decisions, but God does not usually have a specific will in the way we think. Instead, to us is given the stewardship to live and learn. Much of this is covered in a book "Understanding prayer, faith and God's will" that I wrote. There is also a chapter about how to read the Bible well, especially when trying to navigate the Old Testament books. Don't need to rush to finish 66 books in a year because it is too tough, instead take 2 or even five years to finish it well. Try google the Bible Project

Welcome! It can be kind of daunting but you chose great books to start with. May I suggest Romans and Acts next? They can provide more on the importance of Christianity and the relationship with Jesus. Prayers for wisdom as you study.

Hi Kayte, I joined about half an hour ago. Good to see you read John and Matthew. Be aware of the promptings of the Holy Spirit and he will lead you into all truth. e-Sword is a great free Bible program with Bibles, dictionaries, commentaries, etc. The late Chuck Missler has great Bible videos and audios which explain Jewish and Greek passages in the Bible. When you gradually come across great Bible scholars you will be soaking in great spiritual input. Kind Regards, Biyn

Take your time reading the whole Bible, there are many valuable lessons to learn and you can only absorb so much in a day.
