I was raised SDA, and every SDA I've talked to since, says the same thing about the RCC church, but zeroing in on Constantine.
Constantine was not Catholic. He was a Roman emperor who professed Christ on his deathbed. Most Adventists have no idea what they truly believe.

I'm not SDA anymore either, but that's what they say. You can bet the SDA's on these forums know what they believe. That's who I was addressing.

At the time of Constantine, Christianity accepted an offer to become the State religion of a new Roman Empire following a civil war. As a result it abandoned the counter-culture of Jesus' Kingdom, to rejoin the world of man, a world built upon self serving ways and self justification, as a result of the Fall. A religion meant to serve the opposing will of God, joined forces with the will of man, to become a power of man and eventually as it evolved, a worldly empire of it's own.

My question..... Did any Christian institution/denomination ever officially apologize for this traitorous act that anyone knows of? Did any repent of/change their official position and turn from accepting the offer of the Tempter that Jesus rejected, where 'all this could be yours'? Do they carry on like the rest of the governance of man to this day or do they now teach separation between the two worlds as Jesus taught. Will they teach that which condemns their act of joining the world of man and rejecting the Kingdom?

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

There is a saying that " the winners write history " . This appears to be true in many aspects . We are given to read that Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world , if it were , then would my servants fight . That sounds right because it is contrary to an atheistic belief of " this is all there is ...let us eat , drink and be merry for tomorrow we die . "
Regarding SDA teachings that Constantine instituted Sunday worship , this may be true but it seems from the bible that early believers went from house to house breaking bread and worshipped daily . ( What exactly IS worship ? When and where did Jesus worship ?) Who says gathering together at a building on a certain day constitutes worship ? Where is the commandment " Go ye and build ye buildings ye " ?
Constantine did throw money at the "church" ...we call it "supporting " the church . He instituted councils to decide what constituted orthodox belief but Psalms 1 tells us " Blessed is the man who does not walk in the council of the ungodly . "
As far as I am aware , the early church was apolitical which agrees with Jeremiah . " Cursed is the man who trust in man and makes the flesh the arm of his strength and who's heart departs from the Lord . "
There are groups who were outside of "orthodox belief " who never married the state , who's kingdom is not of this world . They were often called heretics and persecuted but never persecuted anyone nor incited riot or rebellion . Wise as serpents and harmless as doves . Meek and lowly . Not wise according to this world.

So you're contradicting yourself. You said: "They are indeed Christian." Now you're agreeing that they're not.

Are you Mormon? You seem very afraid to answer that question. You also seem to share their theology.
Sounds more like a JW to me, but I could be wrong. Definitely one of the "we're the only real Christians" outfits, though.

Love the false assumptions :) Denominations have nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus. They are reserved for those of the world that like to label and divide amongst themselves. That is not the way of the Kingdom.

Love the sweeping generalizations that pervade discussions here.
You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.
