• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

my ocd is giving me worries

No one here can help you we are not certified Doctors and you must understand that. I know you don't like my post to you because youv never comment to me but I am going to say this anyway in love - Go to a Doctor in real life.

These are the rules for this section:

Recovery is a place for member peer support and advice, not as a substitute for professional care, nor a place for ethical/moral discussions.

Recovery Staff feel very strongly that members need to seek out real life licensed professional services and local pastoral care in addition to asking for support and advice here.

What are you worried about?
my ocd is telling me stuff like " what if you maybe broke a promise without your will not to return to your house to get napkins and that maybe counted also for your new house and maybe it also counted not only for that day but for always and for the rubbish?

May God bless you, Kostilaks. God does not want you incapacitated by worry about OCD. I know it's hard to focus on God and your spiritual growth when you are mentally distracted. Please try to focus as best you can, and know that God's desire for your spiritual health and growth does not depend on always being successful.

God desires you to make an effort, not because you fear His wrath, but because the effort will improve your life and allow your trust and relationship with Him to grow. It is important to pray to God, speaking to Him as you would to your best friend (which He is in fact). Please know that when you slip up, He still loves you and will help you restore the relationship.

It is important to get help from the medical profession and/or a spiritual mentor who you can speak with in person. My prayer for you is that you will be able to find the right person to walk through the valley with you, and that you will be continually reminded that God is there with you.

Go in peace, and go with God, my brother.
