A few things to consider:Honestly I have this thing of believing I was born too late. Sometimes I feel misplaced. I am 27 and living in arguably the darkest most uncivilized time in history for America and the rest of the developed world in general and in my lifetime the ultimate collapse may very well come and there won't be anything else like America ever again.
I want to have been born anytime before 1960s-1970s so now I would have lived a better life and would be almost on my way out by now. At least the last time there was a major threat of nuclear apocalypse, our leaders were better prepared and it ultimately didn't come at all. I don't like how the world has changed overall since even 20 years ago. But back at that time, I was just a small kid. I wish it would just go back to what it was before I became an adult. I want to taste just a little of that so bad, I can go on a lot about this.
Remember when number one songs weren't afraid to speak Christianity? Remember this American top 40 chart topper? (by an Australian) Remnants of the peace and love era.Ray Charles hit the road jack and let’s go get stoned . I remember Brenda Lee . Remember a song called Michael rowed the boat ashore. Don’t remember who it was by. Absolutely hated teenage death songs like Tell Laura I love her. Of course I remember Ritchie Valens La bamba . When I first went on the internet one of the first things I did was look up the lyrics because I don’t speak Spanish and I wanted to know what I was ( trying) to sing
I don’t think it a problem. I saw a movie called “ Some of MyBest Friends Are” and the movie opened my eyes . Gays can be hurt by their choices in relationships and they’re hurt by the relationship choices of people around them .just like heterosexuals. My father was a virulent ,foaming at the mouth ,gay basher and I saw that there was no need to behave the way he did and it was none of my business to interfere with another relationship that didn’t involve me.Maybe we are seeing two different things. The major agenda is homosexuality.
People blame the Beatles for so many 'firsts;' in music and style, claiming there is nothing new left. But no excuse. They were first in expanding their genre which started with black music of the 50's. Time to quit rehashing old licks and create a new genre. It's been almost 70 years since the last big change. Melody is melody no matter how far back you go. It is the method of playing the music that changes and we are stuck with the same old instruments that replaced big band.
Yeah, there was that. But I was only 8 near the tail end of 1999. I heard some taste of the good music at the time it originally released.Although I will say growing up as a 90s kid was cool.

For me, the non-innocence of TV and film in itself isn't offensive.I still remember the innocence of the 50's, especially on television. Now, there is not a series on TV that doesn't have an immoral agenda being forced down your throat all the time, just to watch a story.
What we grow up with molds our perception. There was a time when Bugs Bunny was taken off the air because it was deemed too violent. For me, the non-innocence of TV and film in itself isn't offensive.
I don't really believeThat is merely using freedom of speech to be rude or vulgar. Typically human, redefining good and evil to self justify actions.
A few things to consider:
No one chooses when or where to be born.
Since you are getting closer to be 30 years old, theres something that happens, which I believe is biological and emotional, that makes us realize we are getting older and some dreams and desires are not happening. Thats what people call middle age crisis. It used to happen around 40 and 50 years old, but I am finding it in the 30's as well.
You can't go back time, you can heal and make peace with it, but I suggest you don't dwell in things you have absolute no control whatsoever; like the year you were born. What you can do is pray for your future and future generations to come.
. I don’t consider tv and film from the 50s to be so innocent either . I remember how much I hated westerns because of the violence and someone was always getting shotFor me, the non-innocence of TV and film in itself isn't offensive.
. Yeah the 27 club ( sigh)Great time yet Kurt never made it past 27.

Well at least he wasn't a white cartoon character wearing brownface.Wanting to remove the character Apu from The Simpsons because he is perceived as a stereotype of Indian people or other "progressive" and "liberal" causes is worse than the concern of sex or violence in my opinion.
