Hey folks,

Years ago my wife gave me a copy of The Valley of Vision which contains a collection of prayers found in the works of the Puritans. They are extremely experiential / experimental and I highly recommend you give them a try if you need a nudge in the right direction. The prayers are Christ focused and express the many emotions and experiences a Christian encounters daily.

Try the Psalter. Christians have been using it for centuries.

Excellent recommendation and I can't tell you how often I've returned to the Psalms for praise and prayer. The translation I use most often is the Scottish Psalter, 1650. TBS publishes offers Bibles with the metrical Psalter in the back - which is handy for the Christian who likes to take their Bible wherever they go.

The Scottish Metrical Psalter

Protestant didn't reinvent the wheel we just make sure the rubber hits the road.
