I am a born again christian for so many years now. I have prayed to God to get out of the bondages but all in vain. Whatever I do, I don't progress. I have failed to get answers but all in vain. I would humbly ask anyone who can pray for me to do so. I also ask for advice from brethren around the world on what I can do. I read my bible and I pray at most occasions during the day. I don't miss out on Sunday prayers. I have a family which I can no longer care for. All I need is a breakthrough in my prayers and the rest will come.

I have a wife and five children.

People make a mess out of things and they think that making a bigger mess will somehow fix that. The solution is to quit trying to do it your way and start to do it God's way. He is waiting for you to come around to His way of doing things because He is not going to change.

Yes dear brother ..I will pray for you and encourage other brothers to pray as well . Look at Colossians 4:12 ..Paul said that their dear brother Epaphras is always laboring for them in prayer . And also in 2nd Corinthians 1:11 ...as you labor together with us through prayer.
Good thing they did not have TV back then . May the Lord Jesus bless you with fruitfulness .

Hello. Going through a dark place can be hard, we've all been there. Sometimes the answer will only be revealed with hindsight. But we know that the Lord works for the good in all circumstances (Romans 8:28) and that he will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He's with you now, even if it doesn't feel like it, don't judge by appearances. He's with you now. Hang on brother, hang on. God Bless You :)

Praise God brethren in Christ! Receive my greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am so happy for the response. I have read, its a great inspiration.
I welcome your prayers and advice plus support. Explaining more about my situation; it all started when my step mother bewitched me and at the ears of my young sister that I was to suffer my entire life. Slowly by slowly, the situation started changing in my life. I did not complete my education even though I wanted to finish with my studies. My dad's clinic had started falling and there was no more money. Witchcraft had started making influence. I have experienced tougher times and may be people who have seen me can explain more if you could meet them physically. I do some odd jobs to raise money and start a small business but money disappears. I have prayed to God for many years now and having a family is not easy. I seek your prayers brethren.I want to lay a foundation for my family when am still alive. I don't want them to suffer the same way. I want to see a breakthrough. Thanks so much for the response, may God richly bless u all.

Thanks so much the prayers. I really appreciate
Will pray for you brother.

In case someone might have practical advise, are you comfortable in sharing more details about your difficulties? I've never been to Uganda myself, nor do I think myself to be capable of helping with practical matters, but someone else here might get some ideas if you clarified your situation a bit.

God bless you and your loved ones.

There are a few things to be aware of. The first is to do with the curse. The bible tells us that "a curse without a reason can not take root", this means that as a Christian if a person curses you, and you have done nothing wrong against them, it will have no effect. Only damaging sin (where you have hurt some one and continue to do so) can cause a curse to be effective. The bible also tells us that "Christ became a curse for us, so that we may inherit the blessings of Abraham", every curse is null and void in Christ, no curse can cling to you. With a curse you may experience people turning against you, but the bible declares, " that when a mans ways please the LORD he makes even this enemies be at peace with him".

You mentioned you are struggling with a business, this is quite common, I have tried to start a business many times and each time my business failed. Starting a business is hard work, and you should not expect immediate results.

I would say don't look for things that seem like a curse, rather declare the scriptures over your life. "You are blessed with the blessing of Abraham in Christ", "no curse can take root in your life", and "even your enemies will be at peace with you".

Hello @nsublinjoel,

I am sorry that you are going through this tough time. Thank you for clarifying your situation. The initial post was a bit vague. The first thing that you MUST read and lock in your heart and mind is Romans 6, 7, and 8. These chapters are critical in understanding that "[t]herefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." (Romans 8:1-3 NIV). It doesn't matter what kind of evil you were exposed to prior to accepting Christ, you ARE a new creation, you do not live in the realm of the flesh, but in the realm of the Spirit (Romans 8:9).
Further, Paul tells us in Ephesians that our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with "the powers of this dark world and...against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (v.12-13). As such, we must use the right equipment. Paul tells us to "be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." (v.10-11). The full armor of God, he tells us, consists of:
  • The belt of truth buckled around our waste
  • The breastplate of righteousness in place
  • Our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace
  • Take up the shield of faith, with which to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one
  • The helmet of salvation
  • The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (the Bible), and
  • Pray in the Spirit on all occasions
It seems like you have the last one, but the way I read it, we need the sword of the Spirit in order to pray in the Spirit...these work hand-in-hand as the only two offensive weapons we have. All the others are defensive weapons. I hope this helps. I will be praying for you.

Blessings,
Kevin
