I was going to post a thread on this very passage, and 1st Chronicles 21:1 which is a slight variant of the same historical account.

When we carefully align the two accounts we discover that the 'Anger of Yéhûʷəʰ' is (paralleled with) 'Satan', yet it is the Pride of Men that rouses the Anger of Yéhûʷəʰ.

"And again the Anger of Yéhûʷəʰ was Kindled against Israel, and he Moved David against them to say, Go, Number Israel and Yéhûʷdəʰ.

"And Satan Stood Up against Israel, and Provoked David to Number Israel.

In this scenario 'Satan' (unmistakably) represents 'the Anger of Yéhûʷəʰ', however this does not in any shape or form reveal to us just What it is that makes Yéhûʷəʰ Angry?

In Job we are informed that Leviathan, (aka Satan) is the King who presides over all the Children of Pride, for it is the Pride of one's Ego that displaces the Grace of the Covenant and transforms it into a Messenger of Satan.

"But he gives more Grace. Wherefore he says, Alôhâyîm resists the Proud, but gives Grace unto the Humble.

Submit yourselves therefore to Alôhâyîm. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw Near to Alôhâyîm, and he will Draw Near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you Double Minded.

Humble yourselves in the sight of Yéhûʷəʰ, and he shall lift you up." [James 4:6-8, & 10]

"Though Yéhûʷəʰ be high, yet has he respect unto the Humble: but the Proud he knows Afar Off." [Psalm 138:6]

"The lofty looks of man shall be Humbled, and the Haughtiness of men shall be Bowed down, and Yéhûʷəʰ alone shall be Exalted in that day.

For the day of the Host of Yéhûʷəʰ shall be upon every one that is Proud and Lofty, and upon every one that is Lifted up; and they shall be Brought Low:

And the Loftiness of man shall be Bowed down, and the Haughtiness of men shall be made Low: and Yéhûʷəʰ alone shall be Exalted in that day." [Isaiah 2:11-12, & 17]

When one does not Believe the Father's Truth, they make Him out to be a Liar, and the Father of it, and in like fashion they make His Prophets out to be False Prophets.

Those who are found without Love for the Father's Truth are handed over to a Delusion, which systematically convinces them to Trust and Rely on the Lies born from their own imagination.

"....Hezekiah Humbled himself from the Pride of his Heart, both he and the inhabitants of Yerûʷsʰləm, therefore the Anger of Yéhûʷəʰ came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah." [2nd Chronicles 32:26]

"The Pride of your Heart has Deceived you...." [Obad 1:3]

"A bishop then must be blameless, the Husband of One Wife, Vigilant, Sober, of good conduct, prone to be hospitable, qualified to teach;

Not a novice, lest being Lifted Up with Pride, lest he Fall into the Condemnation of the Devil." [1st Timothy 3:2, & 6]

ג being a voiced ק, and ק being an aspirate ג

On the other hand we have the ע of a ו , as in עמורה Gomorrah, where ahyin sounds like a G, especially when the lips are puckered to enunciate a VaʷV.

In English, G is often sounded as a J, which is phonetically a D fused with a Y.

דלת = ד, and דלת למ דתו = דלת = A Door to His Faith, Religion, Law, etc., and, or דלת למדתו A Door to his study, etc.

For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

Yeshua teaching this principle is what reminded me of esauv, and ya'akov.
Especially the account of their greeting one another after ya'akov arranges the tribes.

I wonder if anyone reading here could ascertain whether or not esauv would have attempted to kill his brother had not there been family to witness such.

Esauv in all likelyhood new full well what happened with qayin.

Just a thought about the spoils and pillages spoken of by yeshayahu.
