... Satan wants to destroy us. He wanted to destroy Yeshua and he wants to destroy those who have put their faith and trust for their salvation in Yeshua and what he did for us on the cross. He does everything he can to distract us from our focus, not only to destroy us but to destroy the possibility of others coming to faith in Yeshua.

Scripture tells us, "Avove all else guard your hearts, for everything you do flows from it. (Prov 4:23) But how do we guard our hearts and keep the enemy from entering things into our thoughts and minds that are not of God? Well, we cannot keep the thoughts from entering, however, we can keep them from staying. The other night while laying in bed some thoughts began to fill my head that were causing depression. Suddenly I realized it and began to pray in tongues. Now I don't know about you, but I cannot pray in tongues and think of other things at the same time. I soon found that depression lifting and then I could not even remember what it was I was thinking that was causing the depression.

So, when we realize that Satan is trying to get a leeway into our mind, I advise speaking in your prayer language. If you don't have a prayer language yet, begin to praise God in your regular language. Thank Him for what he's delivered you from. Thank Him for sending His son to die on the cross for your sins, just thank Him, for everything He's done. Trust me, Satan does not want to create a situation that will cause you to praise God.

A lifestyle of praise is exactly the way to keep Satan from taking up residence in your thought life. A life of praise is not just singing and dancing before God but also a walking in obedience to what His word (both living and written) says and we cannot know what His word says unless we read it...all of it. (John 14:23; Prov 6:20; James 1:22; Prov 10:17 just to name a few) ...
