As for the context of Söderlund’s original remarks, the primary source appeared to be Sweden-based video content with only a brief, automatically translated summary. That auto-translation, which was clearly not exact, read:

In the days the “Gastro Summit — about the future of food” is being held at the Stockholm Fair. There, behavioral scientist Magnus Söderlund holds seminars that make most people raise their eyebrows. They are about the possibility of eating human flesh — to save the climate.

he evidently did make the remarks, and is evidently considering climate change caused food shortages, as well as the carbon footprint of food sources -- cannibalism of existing flesh would require growing no new crops and feeding such to no new cattle, so would have no carbon footprint or greenhouse gas emissions

Maybe they could start with the "scientists" that come up with this nonsense. :D

Sounds like the New Age nonsense that was leading up to Y2K. They were saying that Mother Earth would erupt violently if mankind could not get the overall population numbers below 2 billion by the year 2000.

Mankind is the problem so reduce the surplus population.

Anyone wants a Swedish scientist combo meal???
I hear they make great meat balls.

But I wonder how well it would work when the noodles are already fried ....

I down with that. Given the dire situation coming our way, it sounds like an entirely modest proposal.

I think God has it under His control.I remain a skeptic on the climate hysteria. Personally, the changes are predicted in the bible an birth pangs. Will people clue in that it's not carbon but the going further away from God? The world is much bigger then mankind.

ONe thing will lead to another until actually proposing hunting down other people...

You can guess it will be the rich people hunting down the poor. :(

Makes the "Thanos solution" sound a far better in theory.
