I have committed no sin since my repentance from sin.
My salvation won't be sure till the day of the Lord's judgement.
You JUST SINNED when you typed that statement.

Sin includes not believing what Jesus taught. He taught that those given eternal life SHALL NEVER PERISH. And you aren't sure of your salvation.

It is obvious that your repentance isn't complete. Or finished.

I offer this Scripture, which REFUTES your erroneous opinion.

John 3:18 - Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

2 Thess 2:12 - and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Condemnation is based on those who have not believed. Guess what tense that is.
Present. Whoever DOES not believe. Yes, all who have not believed are condemned. Why? Because they don't believe. Don't try to twist it to say unbelievers are saved. It simply doesn't say that anywhere in scripture.

I quoted:

Present. Whoever DOES not believe.
Either you don't read very carefully, or you just aren't all that familiar with the English language.

Yes, all who have not believed are condemned.
What is the tense for "have not believed"? That's where Scripture refutes you.

Why? Because they don't believe.
No. Because they "HAVE NOT BELIEVED".

Don't try to twist it to say unbelievers are saved. It simply doesn't say that anywhere in scripture.
Why are you having such a hard time understanding these 2 very simple straightforward verses?

Condemnation is for those who HAVE NOT believed.

This means NEVER believed. You're the twister one who wants the verse to say what you opine; that those who have not believed "recently" or some such qualifier, but the Bible gives NO qualifiers on "have not believed".

If a person has NEVER believed, they "have not believed".

If a person used to believe, you CANNOT say they "have not believed". Because they HAD believed.

I'm always amazed at how Arminians misread verses.

So does that mean you repent daily? Hourly? Minute by minute?
Quite the opposite.
One turn from sin, if real, is all that is necessary.

If salvation is lost at every sin, how can we have any confidence that we are really in Christ? Perhaps we missed confession of something we didn't know was a sin.
If one has "turned from" ALL darkness, and unto the Lord, any sin from the past is just a memory.
"Turn from all sin."
Doesn't that cover the things long forgotten?
I think so.

How do people become Jesus' sheep? They "enter through Him", a metaphor for believing in Him.
Also a presage, or picture of water baptism.

Do all sheep follow their shepherds? That's why shepherds have shepherd crooks. To get the stupid sheep out of trouble. For not following the shepherd.
The sheep Jesus spoke of do, as they know His voice.
The Lord's sheep will not follow the thief because they don't know the thief's voice.

Only one problem. There is NOTHING in any of these verses that backs up your last statement. Zero.
You have concluded that your judgement has already occurred. ie. eternal security.
The scriptures I cited prove otherwise.
All will be judged for the deeds done in the body, so if evil is found, the judgement will not be eternal life with God.
The OSAS doctrine is erroneously used as a "get out of hell free card".

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[e] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Those who believe possess salvation. We must have faith from first to last, not just once upon a time. We have to live by faith.

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?

Who are the righteous? Those who live by faith, according to Paul. Not the ones who once had faith before they got distracted by the world, or the flesh or the devil, but those currently living by faith.

I hope you can see that the antithesis of "believing the truth" is "delighting in wickedness".
Those still committing sin don't believe the truth.

I just don't believe everybody who lays claim to that verse is being true about their belief.
The final judgement will sort out the wheat from the chaff.

So, you have never sinned since your conversion? Have you been saved longer than a week?
Wow, even the holiness Church's I was raised in allowed that you will need to be sanctified before you quit sinning entirely.

My salvation won't be assured till the final judgement on the day of the Lord's return.
I "turned from" sin fifteen years ago.

Happily, that sanctification occurs when the atoning blood of the Perfect Sacrifice is applied to us...at water baptism into Christ's death. (Rom 6:3-6)
The next verse provides the result..."For he that is dead is freed from sin." (Rom 6:7)
I praise the Lord God of heaven and earth for my release form the chains of sin.

Me think there's a difference between being freed from sin and never sinning again. Why did Jesus tell us to pray "forgive my sins" in his model prayer? Now I can believe that you haven't committed any minor sins, probably haven't danced around drunk on Christmas Eve with the lamp shade on your head. But when it comes to the big ones, like saying a cross word to your wife or judging a brother or sister too harshly, I'm more than a little skeptical. It's been my experience that the people who think they don't sin, either find excuses why the things they do wrong aren't sins, and/or they just put up a good front, and are actually some of the worst sinners. My own mother believed in entire sanctification at least in theory. And while she was certainly one of the best persons I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, she certainly was not perfect. And I'm guessing that if you have a spouse or kids, they would confirm that you aren't either, at least if I asked them when you weren't around.

Such "cooperation" is just another way of saying that we are saved by what we DO. That is works salvation.

[QUTOE]But there is always a condition.
The ONLY condition for eternal security is to be given eternal life. John 10:28. And the ONLY condition for receiving eternal life is to believe in Christ. John 5:24, 6;47, 1 John 5:11, 13.

Please quote any Scripture that says so.

When a person believes, they are changed forever:

1. born again. How can anyone UNdo that?
2. new creature. What verse says we revert back to old creature?
3. indwelling Holy Spirit. What verse teaches any NT believer can lose the Spirit? In fact, Eph 1:13,14 makes clear that "having believed", the believer is sealed with the Spirit, who is a deposit that GUARANTEES our inheritance for the day of redemption for God's possession (sealed believers).

Why can't you prove your opinion from Scripture; that losing salvation is a possibility.

Eph 1:13,14, 4:30, 2 Cor 1:22 refute your opinion.[/QUOTE]

freegrace,

1. Sorry, but works of obedient are requirements of God not our works to merit.

2. Romans 4:1-5 talks about justification of grace without works.
Christ work on the cross was all his own.
Doing good works to merit eternal life is the kind of work that will not save you.
Just because the Jews were of the same bloodline of Jesus earthly life and because of being God’s chosen nation cannot give you eternal life.

3. Justification by works in the act of salvation is faith without works is dead in James 2:17-26.
One has free will choice and can make a cognitive choice to serve God when the Holy Spirit has illuminated their need for the Savior to forgive them of their sins.
Paul said to believe in your heart and confess I your heart that Jesus died, was buried and rose again.
Believing and confessing are requirements of obedience.
Justification by works is the fruit that you have believed and confessed your sins. God knows the heart and when God knows the heart is wanting to choose God and has faith believing then only God can stamp the approval that a person is saved and only he can apply the blood to the person and wash away his sins.

This is the proper perspective on the difference of Justification by grace and Justification of Works.
Your salvation by works accusation because of cooperation is debunked by the scripture and is your keeping of the word “works” in your definition and context alone so you can claim to be right.

4. Eternal life is an eternal substance but the possession is not a guarantee and not a guarantee because we’ve received an eternal substance.
John 10:28 is one verse and is not the complete context.
Verse 27; My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.
The condition is that the sheep hears his voice and follows him.
Verse 25 were unbelievers because they believed not.
The sheep are believers and in that state will never lose their salvation.
No man can pluck out the Father’s hand
because Christ secured his children.
This doesn’t mean that Christians can’t backslide, fall from grace to apostasy on their own accord of their own volition.
Also, Jesus is speaking to Israel who has an unconditional covenant to all be saved to receive the land and the Kingdom of Heaven reign. Receiving the unconditional covenant is conditioned by the nation receiving salvation Roman 11:29; the gifts and callings are without repentance. This is the covenant that will happen in the future Romans 11:25-29.

5. John 5:24 is true in the state of grace.
John 6:47 is true because it is God’s promise for those who are saved when one believes. Christ does his part but we have to cooperate with him by living Holy. This is God’s requirement for us.
Be ye holy for I am Holy.

6. 1 John 5:11,13; this shows that we can have assurance of salvation by being a Christian.

7. Christ has given us free will choice. The proof that Christians can sin shows that God will not force us to do do what we don’t want to do.

8. Born again? When a person changes masters is who he is servant to Romans 6:12.
It is us that that can depart from the faith not God 1 Timothy 4:1.

9. New creature reverting back to the old creature James 5:19-20.
James is talking to Christians that err from the truth and one conversation him he has converted the sinner from the error of his way and shall save a soul from death and shall hide a multitude of sins.

10. Indwelling Holy Spirit .
Ephesians 1:13-14. The Holy Spirit seals but salvation is not complete till our inheritance is purchased which will be when we have passed our test at the end of our life.

11. We can grieve the Holy Spirit despite being sealed. Nothing about eternal security in being sealed.

12. 2 Corinthians 1:22 says nothing about eternal security in being sealed unconditionally across the board.

13. I have already given you examples of those who were saved and lost their salvation but you refuse to believe the word.
You have refused to comment on the last post about I die daily and answer my question on the context.
You have no scripture for your position because you don’t understand context or how to reconcile the scriptures properly together in harmony.

Me think there's a difference between being freed from sin and never sinning again.
I can't understand why you think that.

Why did Jesus tell us to pray "forgive my sins" in his model prayer?
It was because it was still the OT and he was speaking to OT men.
We can only be freed from sin by taking part in the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
That couldn't happen in the OT.

Now I can believe that you haven't committed any minor sins, probably haven't danced around drunk on Christmas Eve with the lamp shade on your head. But when it comes to the big ones, like saying a cross word to your wife or judging a brother or sister too harshly, I'm more than a little skeptical. It is your duty to be skeptical.
But if in your heart you really desire to serve God, He will show you I am serious about the feasibility of life without sin.

Think about this for a second...
If we in the NT are still slaves to sin, the only ones who profited from the death and resurrection of Christ were the sacrificial animals.
No other things changed.
The Jews longed for a Messiah to save them from the Romans, but Jesus freed us from a much worse enemy...the devil.
Thanks be to God.

I don't believe we are slaves to sin. However even Paul said "the things I don't want to do that I do"... I've lived too long to believe sinless humans exist.
On my best day, my righteous deeds are like a used tampon. And if you find that offensive, remember the Bible said it first.
The only way I can come to the throne is clothed in his righteousness. Because I have none of my own.
