• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have been diagnosed with aggressive stage IV metastatic prostate cancer. I know for a fact that YHWH can heal me with or without fasting. I feel like He is leading me to fast rather than undergoing hormone therapy, chemo, etc., which have bad side effects. Fasting is Biblical and YHWH designed our bodies to heal themselves when given the right conditions. I also desire to fast to draw closer to Him and Yeshua before I depart. So your prayers are welcomed not only for direction in dealing with the cancer, but for complete victory over it and a deeper relationship with my Father and my Savior.

May you be healed and may God be glorified.

Thanks for your prayers, but are you suggesting I am tempting YHWH by fasting?

Nope, of course not. But you shouldn't do anything which could possibly harm your already fragile health.
As far as healing concerns it may sometime be a matter of spiritual healing and not physical healing.

I know first hand how its fighting cancer and I wouldn't have fasted at all if I ever suffer a relapse. Two thirds of cancer patients die earlier than they had to due to malnutrition and many starve to death.
If anything I'd recommend you to eat as healthy as you can, go for walks whenever your up for it physically and try to stay as involved in life as you possibly can.
The last thing you wanna do to yourself now it to weaken your immune system and to develop a depression etc etc.

Pray to Christ that he will bless you with the strength you need to go on and to be healed according to his will.

Btw. I'm so sorry for you, just so you know that. I pray for you as I type this message.
If it's any comfort you should remember that we're all pilgrims on earth and that, with time we will follow you into declining health and into eternity someday.

No one escapes death, but it's only through that dreadful gate that we can enter resurrection and eternal bliss.
God bless dear brother in christ.

Thanks for your concern. I have started hormone therapy which seems to be helping. I still plan on going on another extended water fast to further attack the cancer as it weakens from the hormone therapy. My last one was 15 days during which I felt great. There are so many health benefits to such a fast including rejuvenating the immune system. Once I am off the fast I will continue a keto diet.

Update; My highest PSA score was 70. That is when I was diagnosed with aggressive stage IV prostate cancer that had metastasized to my bladder and two lymph nodes. A healthy man's PSA at my age is around 2.5-3.5. My PSA is now 0.5! 0.1 = "cured". HalleluYah! Thanks to all who prayed for me.

Has anyone ever tried such a fast to kill cancer and rejuvenate the immune system? I have read many encouraging testimonials concerning such extended fasts.

Cancer cannot live without sugar.
If you eliminate all processed or "fast" sugar you can starve cancer.
It's been said. Likely anyone who has fasted, continued to avoid
sugar afterwards as so it seemed the fast was the trick.
