Misdirected question. The tie is 'GOP' not the personalities.
I understood you.

I'm still waiting for the supposed tie (which wasn't shown to exist. However, I was willing to give you the opportunity to support your surprising claim).

Yes, so how does saying something like the following make sense?--

It's not as though the Republican Party, the Trump administration, or even some well-known pressure group created and placed this commercial.

Why not? We keep hearing how Kathy Griffin, a comedienne and not even a politician, with her decapitated Trump head somehow represents all those on the left, even on this thread.

Who's "they" here? Your OP stated up front that the ad was from an individual, (Elizabeth) Heung. According to other news reports, she is a private individual who has run for office before but lost.

No, it does not say the ad was from a single, private individual. Instead, it states that the ad was created by New Faces PAC, which is headed by Republican politician Elizabeth Heung. I'm guessing we will find a number of Republicans contributed money to the PAC to pay for the ad.

Are you a fan of the "two wrongs make a right" concept, then?

(and I don't believe very many people DO think that Kathy Griffin speaks for the Democratic Party, even if it would be nice to have Democratic Party spokesmen bother to condemn her disgraceful behavior.)

No, I'm not a fan, two wrongs don't make a right. But it does seem hypocritical on your part; I must have missed where you have complained about people making similar comments about the Left. And, plenty of Democrats condemned Kathy Griffin; though I don't know who you think is currently "spokesmen" of the Democratic Party now (or even at the time).

That's what I said right at the start. And it is quite a different matter from an ad placed by the GOP or an affiliated organization (which was the claim).

I'm sorry? Where in the post I quoted does it state that it was paid for by a PAC? Instead, you tried to claim, "the ad was from an individual, (Elizabeth) Heung. According to other news reports, she is a private individual who has run for office before but lost." A PAC is not an individual, particularly as the PAC has received donations from many (apparently) like-minded Republicans.

I'm much less bothered by the burning of her picture than I am by the fear-mongering and moronic demonization of socialism.

There is no fear mongering going on when it comes to socialism. Just socialist who don’t like reality of what it does to a nation.

Is she even running for her seat? I don’t understand the need to focus on a politician you’re not running against.

If you have to be running for someone’s seat to criticize, then all but 8 in congress would be rendered silent.

She basically equated AOC with the Khmer Rouge. That's fear mongering.

Just socialist who don’t like reality of what it does to a nation.

Your apparent inability or unwillingness to discern a difference between AOC/Bernie/Scandinavian-style democratic socialism and the sort of oppressively dictatorial communism that took root in Asia doesn't mean that there isn't a difference between them. It only means that you have some homework to do.

If that is fear mongering what is it when they say The President has killed as Many as Stalin etc.

What is it when the left lies about immigration?

If you want to find fear mongers, find the ones who use fear.

They are on both sides

Ooh, I haven't heard that one. Got a source?

...nm I found it.

That isn't quite what he said, but yes, that's fear-mongering, too.

They are on both sides

Sure, they are. One difference is that I don't say, "There is no fear mongering going on when it comes to global warming. Just AGW-deniers who don’t like reality of what it does to a world."

It’s just bizarre, the right’s obsession with this mostly harmless junior Congresswoman.

Burning a picture still seems pretty mild, compared to suggestions of hanging or beheading the President. This just looks like the intro to Bonanza:

(Shame on them for their treatment of the Cartwrights, eh?)

I dont remember the skulls ands bones in Bonanza.

If I didn’t know any better I’d swear Republicans think the entire Democratic Party consists of the four women of “the Squad”.

More like the four stooges.

It’s just as bizzare the number of people who rush to defend anti Semitic and just plain stupid comments coming out of the ‘squad’.

The GOP is equally bizarre to defend the 'tax cuts' that hurt the working and middle classes on behalf of the rich as well as voter suppression and the double-cross by the GA GOP legislators who broke a solemn promise to not override the Governor's veto while they attended a 9-11 service.
