Multiple Health Issues - Need Prayer

I am a 70 year-old woman. I've had many health issues over the years and at times it is very overwhelming. I need God's touch from head to feet...literally, as well as mental healing for anxiety, depression and OCD. I am so afraid because of very frightening symptoms...I've been to so many doctors that I can't count all the visits and tests. I keep asking the Lord for healing and peace. I cast my cares on Him but the anxiety is of such severity that I cannot control it. I just ask Jesus to carry me. I feel like a frightened child in an old lady's body!

Please pray for me...

Firstly, offer up your suffering to God. Lay them at His feet. Surrender them to His Divine Mercy. Ask God to let His will be done.

Secondly, i pray that God will lay His healing hands on you and give you His comfort, love and Divine healing.

Hi Paulette,

With ongoing illness, I find the most critical thing is to maintain a positive attitude, so we can remain open to the workings of grace within us. I also take daily Holy Communion, self-administered, which is a healing to the body.

Perhaps reading Romans 8 and Philippians 4 would encourage you. I have also found AB Simpson's Gospel of Healing to be very convincing. I've uploaded a public copy here.

I pray you have peace and the healing you need, in Jesus' name. (3Jn 1:2)

I am praying for you and I have been there. Having a sick body is hard to deal with. When I get overwhelmed I like to repeat this verse to myself....”For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
