Well pas/panta are the same Greek word (G3956) so they should mean the same thing. The radical level of the word however should be left to the context to establish rather than a blanket statement.

Another thing to note is the text in question (Lk 2:10) doesn't actually use the form pas or panta it uses "panti" (but also the same Greek word) so it's not "pas laos" as the OP indicates but "panti to lao" or "to all the people".

I only bring this up as the OP seems confused on his usage of Greek and this might be a consideration when evaluating what he has to say.

However i don't believe the OP is confused, as much as posting confusing posts.

The bottom line, is that we are to line up all we read with the Word of God, which is NOT confusing, but the antithesis of truth and clarity, for God is not the Author of confusion.

Therefore if i see a post that is confusing and/or makes no sense, my post will reflect that.

If people put forward heretical teaching, then it can be argued about from scripture. What I have seen is loyalty to teachers or groups above the Lord, which whoever does this is already in trouble.

Somehow believers feel the surroundings in church are not built by God and need defending. But His elect are called by the Holy Spirit and grow in grace and love as He sows and waters.
