How to bless your enemies?

Mat 5:44 - But I say unto you... pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Do good to/for them that you believe do evil for/to you.....

That's probably the best way. The might be closed off normally (see Matthew 7:6 for a warning), but if a need should develop, helping them might make an impression on their conscience.

Other than that you can a) forgive them, and b) pray that they be blessed. Not necessarily blessed in superficial things, but in things pertaining to true life.

It's been my experience that sometimes it does.

1). Pray for their salvation and repentance from a safe distance. 2). Do not seek revenge.

A somewhat literal-minded interpretation would be that if your enemy is doing just fine, you can't bless him.

Which suggests hope for him to fall flat on his face when you're there to pick him up with an air of smug spiritual superiority. But that feels wrong somehow.

The wrong feeling is probably due to the smug superiority. Though it doesn't seem to bother all that many.

Sorcery eh? St Paul blinded a sorcerer before I think. but maybe he's allowed to cuz God blinded him before too.

I don't know how to bless my enemies. I think I made a couple of them happy when they beat me up.

every time i pray for my enemies they do something even worse.

Let's not forget Matthew 10:14 to put everything into perspective.

There's a point of giving up as well and avoiding them eventually.

And a time to turn over their tables with a whip made of chords. There's a time for everything.

David prayed against his enemies. Jesus prayed for his - publicly.

It's a judgment call. Take it on a case-by-case basis. Understand the spirit of what Jesus is saying.

Forgiveness and prayer is a good start. Let the Lord order your steps and remain open to the unexpected. He may redeem the connection or break it.

Defeat the spirits that are using them against you.

Pray "Christ have mercy on them, and on me".

You cannot have mercy without truth.

How can you know what someone else will waste? God is omniscient not you.

Ask Him before you do it.
But if God does not talk to you
then I guess you will have to guess at it.
