No, brinny, it was you false witnessing against me, calling me a heretic that I objected to.

I did no such thing.

I was speaking of Sophia, as well as Gnosticism, and what the Bible refutes as heretical, as all of my posts clarify.

Praying.

Let it rain.

The bible no way refutes that the Wisdom of Christ given to the church is heretical!!! Nor does it refute God’s control. Go back and read what I wrote and leave out the word Sophia and replace it with the mind of Christ. Then look at the fire as special service for God. There is no need to place the analogy in front of the facts, because I was merely trying to aide understanding.

What has what you posted got to do with my post that you quoted from (post #101) ?

  1. To receive Him it must be granted to you. It does not come by the will of the flesh, nor the will of man.

  2. The Lord must open your heart (like Lydia).

  3. No man can come to Jesus Christ “it is granted of My Father.”

  4. The foundation for being a disciple of Jesus Christ,
You did not choose Me, I chose you.
From my understanding Jesus opened the door for everyone already. He even said on the Cross, "it is finished" as a way of saying the separation of God and men is over. When He died the curtain of the tabernacle broke in half opening the way for everyone to come; Jew, gentile, men, women, free and slaves. The Bible says in John 3:16 that God loved the world so much that gave His only son that WHOEVER believes in Him should not die, and to have eternal life.

God chose everyone, many don't chose Him. The Bible also states that people already have the law in them, so they know between good and bad, and since we are made in His image, we have an innate desire to seek our creator. His own Spirit is calling Hid creation. We all are looking for God, the devil is very sneaky and gives us what we think we are looking for.

I find it funny that people keep trying to prove that some are chosen. Yes, some are specifically called to do something; the Bible says Jesus and Paul were created before the foundation of the world (why need Jesus as a Savior and an apostle before the world was created? Because God knew from the beginning what was going to happen. He knew who will chose Him, but as Jesus said to John, just baptize me to fulfilled the scripture).

I do not discuss that some are chosen and some are not, I just intercede to the Father so others can enjoy the same revelation of freedom, love and righteousness that I enjoy, the thing is that many don't even know what they possess and who they are supposed to be manifesting. People focus on the Prodigal Son instead of focusing on the other son who was already in the household but not enjoying what was already His.

I think the return of Jesus will be like when He first came but instead or Jews we will have "Christians" trying to become righteous instead of doing what He asked us to do and the same Jews missed; to be the righteousness of God. As Jesus is, so are we. The Jews were supposed to be ready to evangelize the gentiles (God's plan was to invite the gentiles into His Kingdom before the foundation of the world. It was supposed to be one Kingdom, not two). The gentiles ended up evangelizing the Jews.

If God decided before time began to choose to be with everyone who accepted His charitable gift, would the people who were willing to accept charity forcing God to live with them or did God choose them to be with Him?

If there is no reason for me to be chosen over my wife not to be chosen to be with God in heaven, how could I be “happy” with God and His choice? That is not the God I worship, but tell me how your happy with that system?

Was a Savior necessary?
Absolutely! Only God incarnate could have defeated death and sin. Without Christ, we were all dead - but, only because of Him, have we been made "alive". Jesus needed to become flesh in order to redeem the flesh of humanity.

Thank you. I was asking specifically because it seemed that He had been minimized or rendered not necessary in some posts.

I was asking for clarity.

Thank you, and i agree sister.

God bless you. :)

You quoted John 15:16 but what about the rest of that statement?

You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

This is basically like Jesus saying I have chosen you to do a job so do it.

What is the message Jesus is trying to convey to His 11 faithful apostles?

Strong in Him said:
The 12 disciples didn't choose Jesus - doesn't mean we can't, though.
Jesus invited them to follow him; he didn't make them. Plenty of others turned back when it got too hard, John 6:66.
666........interesting.

If you read further on, you will see Judas mentioned. And we all know what happened after the Last Supper when Jesus finished His famous Garden discourse........
Judas and the minions of the Satan/Devil Jewish Rulers/Chief Priests show up........the false religious "rulers of the world".
"Judas" is also another name for "Judah", the tribe Jesus was descended from

John 6:
66At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67Jesus said therefore to the twelve, "You don't also want to go away, do you?" 68Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
70Jesus answered them, "Didn't I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?" 71Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.

Luke 22:3
Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve.

John 13:
2 The evening meal was underway, and the Devil had already put into the heart of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus
18 “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.' [Psalms 41:19]
==============================
Then the longest discourse by Jesus in the NT before He is arrested, tried and crucified.........

John 12:31 "Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

John 14:30 "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

John 16:11 "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged

The Betrayal of Jesus
(Matthew 26:47-56; Luke 22:47-53; John 18:1-14)

John 18:3 Judas, therefore, having taken the band and officers out of the Chief priests and Pharisees, doth come thither with torches and lamps, and weapons;
===========================
Judah is actually named as the "Rich Man" in this covenantle parable of Luke 16:

Luke 16 "Rich Man/Poor Man" parable.....The most misunderstood/misinterpreted Parable in the NT?
Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary

LUKE 16:27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.' " (NKJV)

Yielding himself to his destiny, the rich man asks one more thing of his forefather Abraham. He pleads with him to send someone to warn his brothers, so that they may escape "this place of torment" (basanou), the testing and punishment that he was undergoing, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, and Zebulun (Gen. 35:23).

The fact that the rich man has five brothers is a vital clue to his true symbolic identity.
Judah, the progenitor of the Jews, was the son of Jacob through Leah (Gen. 29:35). He had five full-blooded brothers: Reuben
This detail cements the identity of the rich man as the House of Judah, the Jews!
I thought someone would pick up on that. I might have guessed it would be you. ;)
Yeah. I've been spending too much time on the Eschatology "guru" board............. like trying to break thru a stone wall with a toothpick. :)

As a Disciple of Jesus, if I be silent, the stones shall cry out..........

The "Wailing Wall" and "..not stone upon stone left.." Matt, Mark and Luke

Luke 19:
38 saying, "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!"
39 Some of the Pharisees from the multitude said to him, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
40 He answered them, "I tell you that if these were silent, the stones would cry out."

41 And as He nears, beholding the City, and He laments on Her, 42 saying, "That if Thou knew and Thou, even indeed in the day, this, the toward peace of Thee, now yet it was hid from Thy eyes.
43 That shall be arriving<2240> days upon Thee, and Thy enemies shall be casting up a rampart/siege-work to Thee and shall be encompassing Thee, and pressing Thee from-every-side.
44 And shall be leveling Thee and Thy offspring in Thee, and not shall be leaving stone upon stone in Thee, stead which not Thou knew the season of the visitation<1984> of Thee".

He chose jobs for us to do after we are saved is what that refers to (we are saved if we choose life and bow the knee to Him which many dont choose life unfortunately but choose death).

Come in New Zealand: My friend in that beautiful habitation on planet earth: perhaps where you dwell many choose one or both of the deaths in Scripture. Generally none of us choose death unless wracked with unspeakable pain in one dimension or another.

The calling of the Lord certainly involves the outflow of His life to those we touch. To call it a job seems to me to be short in stature of His abundant life.

The Bible teaches God chooses. It also says that nothing we do can justify us before a Holy God.

Our 'job' is not to try to figure out why or how God chooses, but preach the Gospel to all mankind. It is our desire all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. But we also know:

Acts 13: NASB

44The next Sabbath nearly the whole city assembled to hear the word of the Lord. 45But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming. 46Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.

47“For so the Lord has commanded us,
‘I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES,
THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.’”

48When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. 49And the word of the Lord was being spread through the whole region.
