Of course the "57" states comment President Obama made wasn't a big deal whatsoever. For the past 11 years some folks have beaten every dead horse they can find to keep bringing it up, failing to understand that it only reflects better on him. To have to stretch back that far to talk about a non-issue gaffe. It's certainly not on par with Trump "congratulating" Poland after blowing off the trip there to monitor Dorian, then playing golf & having meltdowns about an actress and a gaffe he made.
Nobody would give a diddly dang about Trump including Alabama if he had just been a man about it. Just either acknowledged he was wrong or just shut up about it. He was wrong. The National Weather Service corrected him on it, pretty darn tactfully. Of course the news reported on it. This wasn't just a slip up Donald made while tired on a campaign trail. This is literally a life or death situation. Folks don't deserve to be in unneeded fear worrying they're going to be in the path of a hurricane on account of Donald being careless. But he'd much rather have folks exactly in that position than to admit he was wrong. However, once that was reported on, everybody else would have moved on if Donald had. Yet he hasn't. That's what shows extraordinary weakness of character & total failure of leadership. That's what makes him look foolish and pathetic. While most reasonable-minded folks are focused on where the hurricane is headed right now, putting all needed attention on that, what is Donald doing? Pulling out maps from a week ago, which were already outdated when he made his dumb Alabama comment. He's retweeting things from a week back, from well before his tweet, about Alabama, causing confusion and fear. Does he give a diddly dang about that? Sure doesn't act like it. People are dying, people are terrified. GOOD people are out there doing their absolute best to help out the victims. To help keep things as calm & orderly as possible in the chaos. What is Donald doing? Stirring up strife. Over and over again. Gobbling up attention to put it on what is absolutely trivial. Why? What that does that serve? His pride. Nobody is to blame except Donald Trump. Well, and everybody who enables & cheers on this reckless and reprehensible behavior. He's made himself look worse with every single Tweet. With his relentless obsession over something that as you acknowledge had been trivial to begin with. He's not going to get an apology on account of how he's not owed one. He can sit there with his bottom lip sticking up, arms crossed, little boy tantrum style, sulking on Twitter all day long & he won't be due an apology. He keeps making himself look worse. He makes our country look bad to boot, where people around the world are looking at him making this spectacle of himself during a disaster.
