Looks like its the start of my well deserved 4 day weekend. This previous labor day weekend has left me all tired and needing a break.

May we ask why, Kitty? If it isn't too personal, of course. It just sounds like you might be down about something.
What kind of invisibility?

The kind where you cannot be seen or feel like you cannot be seen. Also the contrary idea of not really wanting to be seen.

(Feeling better today ^_^ )

It would be an interesting super power for sure... it’s interesting how the ring of power gave Gollum, Bilbo, and Frodo invisibility... but is that just because they wanted to be hard to spot?
Would it have made Strider or Gandalf invisible too?

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give you all this message today...

I have gone back to not keeping up with this thread, and this time I might not come back. I've unfortunately struggled with being angered by certain posts here (and being too afraid to say anything about it) and that's a big reason why I've left. While I want to be a good Christian and a friend to others, at the same time I know I shouldn't subject myself to something that could hurt my mood and relationship with others. I hope that's all right. I'll still post in other threads and PMs.

I know it doesn't excuse my anger, but I figured out a few months ago that not only do I struggle with anxiety but also with OCD and depression. All three of them together are not making it any easier for me to be cheerful, ignore things, or avoid feeling hurt; they also tend to make me dwell on things.

Hopefully I haven't caused anyone to feel hurt themselves; if I have, I'm really sorry. I want to be a good friend, a knightess who is kind and helpful to those around her.

Anyway, I just felt that I should tell you the truth about what's been going on and why I haven't been around. God bless you, and you'll still be in my prayers. :purpleheart:

Hmmm... I think so. Maybe it would be even more tempting/dangerous for them. Interesting question.

There have been times when I wished I was more visible, and times when I wished I was less visible. It's a cool superpower, though I'd probably pick the ability to fly if I had to choose between the two. I've done both in VR, and being ghost-like is overrated. Watching your shadow as you fly across the countryside, however, is awesome.

Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Ran over a three inch screw on the way home from work...gotta replace the tire...I think I'm just gonna convert to tubeless tires. I also get [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed when I see a bunch of broken glass on the side of the road...I know accidents happen, but a lot of it is idiots throwing their beer bottles...I know...I was one...

*Also, please keep me in prayer...I burn....thx.

Bicycle? I cycle to work most week days, about 5-6 miles each way. Part of my route passes bars/pubs where there is usually smashed glass. And people on pub crawls seem to ditch glassware at the side of the road when they get tired of walking to the next bar/pub, and decide to take a taxi instead. In short, there is a lot of smashed glass on my route.

It's all about tyre choice. I've probably cycled around 20000 miles in recent years, and had very few punctures in that time.

My top choice would be Specialised Armadillo Elite. I think I might have had one puncture commuting on those, but it was so long ago I can hardly remember. At that stage the tyres were getting thin, so I replaced them.

I'm now commuting on Vittoria Rubino Pro. I think I had one puncture on my previous pair of those, although to be fair they were wearing a bit thin at that stage. I replaced them after 2.5 years. No punctures so far after riding for 1.5 years on the current pair of Vittorias.

My single-speed commuter and one other bike has Vittorias fitted at the moment. My fixed wheel bike has Specialised Roubaix Armadillo Elite fitted.

These tyres cost a bit more, but save me so much trouble.

I've been thinking about going with a tubeless setup on my mountain bike, but I don't know if the wheels are compatible. Plus, I already have a new set of tubes and tires for when the current pair needs replacing.

I would definitely prefer flying as a super power. ^_^
I would be afraid to try that in VR though... some games and even some movies can get me motion sick.

I’ve never heard of not using tubes, how does that work?

I’m sorry about the tire. Will the replacement be expensive? I’ve read a bit about tubeless tires in the past. You ride more frequently than I do.

I will pray that you find a good replacement at a fair price and the Lord will bathe you in His cooling balm and fulfill the desires of your heart. :)

Ah, it all comes with the terrain...you know...she'll be alright...she's a tough one:

"Cooling balm"...that's just what I need, thank you for praying.

Oh nice, thanks for sharing..I'll have to look into it this weekend.

I have an E-mountain bike, that I use to commute about 20 miles a day or more. I have been patching and replacing tubes lately. I put those barrier strips in between the tube and the tire, but I ran over a nail and that ended that. So then I replaced that tube with one of those slime tubes and I still used the insert...that one is still holding up. Yesterday, my back tire caught a screw and so I put a slime tube in it...without the insert since it got all bent out of shape yesterday. So, I took it really easy today...took the train in and rode only several miles, because the tube is squeezing out of the gash in the tire.

Anywho, thanks for the information, I will do some research and weigh my options. I want to go tubeless, but I think I may need an extensive conversion to do so. The good news is that I haven't had any puncture vine flats...just nails and screws.
