Please help me. I feel that God is telling me to get out of my mom's apartment because it is stealing to live here, and that I've potentially made it worse by eating and using facilities here. But I don't want to be homeless. I've contacted a priest. I feel so alone. The Christian chat helpline that I used to use doesn't work anymore. I don't know where to turn. So scared of adding to my sins and going to hell. Scared of being under judgement for writing this post.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I really don’t think living with your mom is one of the deadly sins...talk to your Mom about your anxieties if you can and be careful about taking the fear of God to an extreme in the wrong direction. You are loved.

It is good to "feel the Spirit" as you say, and that comes from two essential things, friend. 1. Being sure you are "born again", as shown in the Gospels ---especially John 3 & John 14; 2. Being sure you have the Lord Jesus in your heart and daily walk; for His presence and daily blessings and peace come from communion with Him as your best Friend, which pleases God --the Father. That is all about a RELATIONSHIP, not just a belief and religion, I hope you know. God wants us to have that peace and assurance.
