Sorta strange to think about. Those of us who have struggled with some sort of addiction or sin are always wanting to be different.... to be normal, like well... everyone else. And yet, are we aware that the next great..... the last great.... move of God, the latter rain, you know, the one that will be greater than the one in the book of Acts, will begin OUTSIDE the organized church. And will not begin with those who seemingly have it all together.

Does that shock you? It shouldn't. You see, the broken of the church, the poor, the lame, the broken, the addicted.... they have a huge advantage over "good normal Christians".

With their failures, their weaknesses, they know they need a doctor. We ALL need one, LOL, but you see, the "good Christians' are not yet aware of that fact. These think they are doing quite fine. God says that type of Christianity makes Him ill.

To those of you weary because of the way, tired of one-sided prayers, tired of sin ruling over you, tired of feeling guilt when you know you are not supposed to be any, I pray I may encourage you in your battle. You who have cried tears of sorrow over your failings are about to discover the God has kept every single one in a bottle. He has not forgotten you.

Whether some want to admit or not, there is a huge problem in our Christianity. No one knows how to get free from the grip of sin, so we all try to do the best we can as ours sins tag along for the ride.

There is an answer, one that works for even the weakest among us. Hungry eyes are about to be opened to the HOW of victory, and it will make no difference what the sin is that rules over you. None.

Glory to God, The overcome are about to become overcomers. And the world is about to be amazed. But not more than we are. ☺️

blessings,

Gideon

Plenty of good normal Christians, in the 'organised' church, who suffer with many types of sin.

I know plenty of people in an 'organised' church who suffer.

Sorry to say this my friend but the record you are playing yet again, is getting rather warn.

God bless you

Yes, holding out hope that there actually is a way to walk in victory when temptation hits.... every time.... shame on me.

Just kidding, and you know I love you brother. Getting rather warn, you say?? Hey, I am just getting warmed up, lol.

How long will I share? Until someone listens to what I share and finally gets desperate enough to step out of the boat themselves and align their testimony about themselves with God's about them.

We ARE dead. When do we finally get it? Our battle is with unbelief, not with our fallen nature. That man is DEAD. And here we sit thinking we need to die to self. Does it not dawn on us. Self will never die to self. Ever.

It is time we believed our God. We have a wedding to get ready for,

blessings,

Gideon

This is the first-time I’ve heard someone exalting spiritual bondage and berating others who aren’t in chains. Your captivity doesn’t make you special or better. You need deliverance not a medal.

Yep. There is nothing wrong with the Church, just those who want to berate it.

Well, everyone has a right to their opinion, lol. But if you think the OP somehow was exalting sin, you missed the point. I do thank you for sharing however.

Is this the point where we say we have need of nothing?

Thank God our God is a long-suffering God. We are a church made up of multitudes in every division or denomination who are content to be saved but with no real desire to lose their lives, or their will so that Christ can live IN them.

They have zero desire to walk as living sacrifices, or to fully cease from sin. And my words that you twist to take as berating, are instead a heart felt plea to awake before it is too late.

There is coming a day when half-hearted Christianity will be a thing of the past. And sooner than you think. We are now entering the valley of decision, and there is but one decision to make. No one will be excluded. Here is the choice..

Who will reign over me? Me.... my self nature, my old man, or Him in me, as my armor, my new man?

And brother, that choice will determine everything.

blessings,

Gideon

But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” —2 Corinthians 12:9-10

You sure like to think you have all the answers with your constant bloviating.
You had to do it, didn't you? LOL. I have a decent vocabulary. Not world class, but not bad either.

But bloviating?? ☺️ So you forced me, yes, FORCED... to look it up.

To talk it length in an empty way? I will admit I am a bit verbose lol, but empty? This is the most amazing message possible, that God will do in us what we cannot do. Set us free indeed.

Now, our choice is simple. We can either admit we need major help (and thus get it) or we can dig in our heels, say we are just fine just the way we are, and watch God turn up the heat and wait us out.

blessings to you,

Gideon

Yes, I can understand that - Jesus said that it is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. He also said "blessed are the poor in spirit", or as one translation said, "blessed are those who know their need of God".
Paul said, if you think you are standing firm, be careful in case you fall.

I don't have experience of being bound by addiction and trying to overcome. My weakness is a physical one; I use a walking stick and limp.
In some ways it's lovely to find Christians on the street and with a healing ministry who want to lay hands on me and see me healed - but I can say, without a doubt, that this disability is an advantage. Because a number of people comment on my sticks (I have several in different colours), and most of time, ask about my disability. I have had many conversations since I started using it, with people who would have otherwise probably walked straight past me. Older people have confided in me about their forthcoming surgery, or whatever. Generally, I've found, people with disabilities want some who identifies with them, "gets it", or knows what it is like.

When I had M.E, I was at a healing centre once, went to see someone for prayer ministry and said,
"look, I hate having M.E, being so tired and not having a life; that bit sucks. And I'm not refusing to be healed - but while I have this fatigue and physical weakness, I HAVE to rely on God's strength, because I don't have any of my own. If I were healed I'm afraid I might go back to being terribly busy for God again and miss out on a relationship with him."
The person I was talking to then said, "the more cracked you are, the more the light of Jesus can shine through."

So, even though I've now been healed of M.E, maybe my stick is a reminder to lean on God, and look out for the weak and disadvantaged in the world.
