Why?....so someone can relay that info to a criminal who then has the opportunity to pick up some weapons illegaly?....when you go on vacation do you advertise that fact on social media?....
No, I respect the feelings of other, only because I would like my feelings respected in the future......It's kind of selfish really...... Because I understand the law of sowing and reaping.... I sow only seeds for the fruit I would like to reap at harvest time.

You know, there is another tangential issue that isn't the same as this injustice in the OP, but is slightly related, and is being indirectly discussed a bit. Here's a useful question:

Would you yourself, personally, feel ok if just down the street a few houses away you know that there is a teenager with an AR-15, and a belt for holding several 30 bullet magazines, and his AR-15 also has a bump stock on it? Cause you've seen him brandishing it around.

I'm really asking. What would you yourself think of that real-life situation?

Well, it would be illegal for a teenager to own such a weapon--which means that his parents own it.

I suspect that's a real-life situation in my neighborhood anyway.

The real problem here is the propensity of schools to react extremely to the wrong things, react without thought or investigation, and then double-down on their extreme reaction when caught.

There is the young girl who got expelled because she presented a 2-dollar bill to pay for lunch--because none of the school officials were aware that two dollar bills were legal American tender. And when finding out, they still refused to re-admit her.

There was the girl who got expelled because she had brought a cake to school for an event with a cake knife. But she realized the knife might be a problem, so she left it in her car in the parking lot. Someone found out that she had a knife in her car in the parking lot.

There was the senior girl whose chosen picture was prohibited from the school year book. She was already pre-enlisted into Army basic training and had taken a picture of herself with the old Army tank that was on display in the town park.

There was the elementary school boy who was suspended because he'd eaten his lunch sandwich into the shape of a gun.

So you're saying only military veterans should be allowed to own guns?

I'll point out that for many military members, basic firearms training is rather minimal, btw.
I trained during the Vietnam war so we received a lot of weapons training. Even we received a lot of hand to hand combat training. Today they may receive more training on how to use a drone rather then a rifle back before they developed all the technology we have today.

The Gov has a ace up their sleeve because for some people the only way they can afford to pay for their education is to join the national guard or to serve in the military. I know a girl in the national guard and she had to sign a 10 year contract to get her college paid for.

I got expelled from High School because I had side burns longer then the bottom of my ear. Now I am a home owner and every time we vote the idiot school system wants us to vote them more money. As far as I know they are always voted down. The school grounds are considered to be park and rec because people will approve money for parks, but not schools. Our property taxes are two or three thousand a year and all the others cities are paying two and three times that amount. Of course they have brand new schools and our are around 100 years old. When my son was at the High School he had to eat in the band room because there was not enough room in the cafeteria, during his lunch time.

Why is easy, because this is not the 1000 year reign of Christ when we will rule and reign with Jesus. Our time has not come yet. When our time does come then we will clean up the mess people have made.

Everyone was a bully and everyone was bullied. It is nonsense to say people are one or the other. Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you.

Federal control over the militia comes from other parts of the Constitution, but not from the Second Amendment.
My ancestors were given land for their military service. The land is still in the family today. This is very common maybe going back to the beginning of civilization. People willing to fight in the wars are given land to grow food to feed their family. If they could provide for a family it was a pretty sure thing they would find a wife.

You can use any gun for Mass murder. Or a bomb or gasoline or car or an airplane. What does the type of gun have to do with anything?

I wouldn't care. Heck, for all I know someone on my street probably does, we have two automatic rifles in my own house (and my little sister is a teen). I see friends post pictures and videos at ranges or target shooting on their or a friend's property, and i know people who conceal carry on my college campus. My brother goes shooting with a friend every once in a while, and I even got to go and shoot with them too. My teenage sister went shooting with my grandpa a couple of months ago.

I live in Texas, so I think the hysteria around this story is kind of funny. A kid went to a shooting range with his mom and posted it on Snapchat? Yawn. I see that every day.

I can kind of understand guns making people uneasy in Colorado because of their history with mass shootings, but really? He was practicing safe shooting with supervision and being taught proper gun usage and having fun with his mom. The school should have never kicked them out.

I don't see how seeing someone practice safe gun usage is threatening. Isn't that what people are advocating for? And yet just seeing someone using guns in a video, despite it depicting literally the safest way possible to use guns, makes people panic and want to take them away or not let the person come to school? This is why I fear the gun control advocates. They keep saying "we don't want to take your guns" but over time their demands become more and more restrictive.

To what degree do we allow people to control our lives at the expense of our rights and safety? I do not need a boom box to defend myself, hunt, or discourage the government from becoming tyrranical. I do need a gun for that.

16-year-old Nathan Myers and his mother Justine Myers went to a shooting range on Tuesday, a moment that Nathan celebrated by posting a video on Snapchat showing some of the guns they were going to bring, including hand guns and an AR-15. The caption for the post read, "Finna be lit," which he explained to Complete Colorado is just slang used among his peers meaning he's "excited" about the chance to go to the range with his mom, who he hadn't seen in a few weeks due to his parents being separated.

When they returned from shooting, Justine learned from messages left by Nathan's father that police officers had come to the house asking about his initial Snapchat post. "His father told them he was out shooting with me, I am an avid shooter," Justine explained. "So, the officers said he wasn't in trouble and left."

Though the family thought the issue was settled, the next morning they were informed by the school district that Nathan could not return to classes.

"I called to ask why I couldn't go, and they said it was a safety concern because the student who reported it was scared I was going to shoot up the school," Nathan said.

The Myers say Nathan has never had any conflict with another student, enjoys a large circle of friends, and has no criminal record.

Complete Colorado reached out to Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams to get his reaction to the situation. He said he thought it just seemed like a kid excited to go to a firing range. When he learned about the school district's response, he expressed disbelief.

"This is exactly the mechanics of the Red Flag Law," Reams told the outlet. "Someone filed an anonymous complaint, without the other person knowing it was being filed, but instead of him being deprived of his Second Amendment rights, he’s being deprived of his ability to go to school without due process."

What scripture do you base your doctrine of sinless perfection on? Jesus said: "When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men." (Matthew 6:5) It is against the rules on this forum to call someone a "hypocrite" because that would be considered a flame. It is against the rules to: "(insult, belittle, mock, ridicule)". I am sure that calling someone a "hypocrite" would be a violation of those rules.

Jesus said: "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs." Matthew 15:26 Calling someone a "dog" is not a friendly thing to do. Even if the women does have a good come back: "Even the dogs get to eat the crumbs". In fact Jesus was so impressed with her answer that He gave her the healing that she was requesting. "28 “O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour." He gave her the desire of her heart to see her daughter healed. But she could have grumbled and complained and not receive what God had for her to receive.

Maybe you do not have an issue with calling the Pharisees: hypocrites and the gentiles: dogs. Then what about the time he drove he money changes out of the temple? "Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves." John 2:15 "So He made a whip out of cords and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle."

Our actual 2nd amendment wording actually lines up with our Declaration of Independence wording:

".... it is the Right of the People...to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

So, we can regulate auto speed on roads, regulate noise in public places, and can require guns be kept in some "well regulated" order, which we determine as a people, in accord with the actual wording of our Constitution.

First, drones are not objects we use to protect our well being or to keep the government from oppressing us.

Second, I didn't say no regulation at all. We already have appropriate laws regulating gun usage and permits (except for laws related to gunshows, those need to be fixed).

We're still talking about a kid who was using actual safe gun practices that everyone says gun owners should be doing, and he still got in trouble for it. So what exactly is your quarell with this boy and his mom? They're following all the right procedures and did the right things.
