He's also suing two other police departments because they wouldn't hire him; upon knowing about his issues with being alone with a woman officer.

Yeah, this is why he should have handled it differently by remaining silent about his preferences or personal struggle involving being alone with a woman.

Centuries ago two Buddhist monks were traveling together and approaching a stream. There was a young woman at the stream looking for a way to cross, so she boldly asked the senior monk to carry her. The senior monk obliged, despite undoubtedly being aware of the taboo against monks touching women. After crossing the stream, he placed the woman down and she went on her way.

The younger monk and older monk continued together on their journey, but something was bothering the younger monk, so he pointedly asked the older monk, "How could you carry that woman?" To which the senior monk replied "I only carried her for a little while, but you still haven't let her go".

Maybe this thread should investigate whether or not there were Female Officers who could have done the job of training her, I saw a picture in 2016 where there were a possible 6-8 women in uniform with that particular Sheriffs office.

Why was he singled out for this job, that is the issue.

If a man is distracted by his work partner he shouldn't hide behind the Rev. Billy Graham. He should admit that problem and be reassigned where it doesn't conflict with his job. If he is married and has that problem at work, he needs Jesus even more.

That would be like a policeman walking a beat with a policewoman out on the street.

On the other hand.... police must at times spend many hours in their car.. late at night at times. Its like being in the military. When fighting crime, ones concentration is needed 100%.

I don't so much have a problem witj with him refusing on moral or religious grounds, as calling it thr 'Billy Grahmn' rule. Ministry and law enforcment are fundamentally different. The fact that he has a personal problem is a secondary issue.

Teamwork is part of the job. If he requires selective assignments that causes problems.

I am sure you have that kind of job? Fighting criminals. Police often work alone!

Brave talk because you have no idea...

Men who have such positions of authority are civilian/military in action. Most police drive alone. Why add a woman to the car? I do not see two policemen in one car. Do you? I have known a police department with a woman officer. But I never saw two officers in one car on patrol.

Take note the next time you see a police car. Its usually one officer in the car. Two officers each having their own car can cover much more area.

He is an employee. Not an owner. If you want to dictate your work day and assignments start a business.

What we should be asking is if he disclosed this requirement during his interviews or if it came up later on. Given the response of the other departments its probable that wasn’t the case.

Can you please explain to me, how this verse could possible be true if you say

On Jesus' last night in the Garden He was as a MAN, Tempted to run away, so much so He asked God to take the cup away if He (God) at all could.

If He was not fully man fully Human he could NOT stand in for us or make intercession for us as the High Priest He is.

Jesus was not born with the sin nature we have but you have to take into account that half od his DNA was human, so actually how much of that Human Nature die he have?.......None?

There has to be a possibility of sin, otherwise He was never Tempted in ALL points like as we are.

Without the possibility of sin, there is no Temptation at all.

The detail about his colleague not sending back-up when he needed it in a direly dangerous circumstance is alone a glaring detail that needs to be investigated.

Something is seriously a-miss here.

Praying that the truth comes to light, and that any ill-intent and injustice and corruption is revealed and dealt with and that Mr. Torres is compensated duly, at the very least.

Praying for his and his wife and family's protection.

Okay, this is where I would draw the line. I don't think it is appropriate for men and women to share a public bathroom. That to me is not normal. It is only the recent agenda that has made things like this to happen. We as Christians should not accept something like this. There are tons of problems that can arise from such a thing. Not all men are good.

Because they know he will refuse certain normal duty assignments and they'd have to work around him. Who wants to hire a high-maintenance officer?

And also: He had been fired from his last job.

It was a solitary bathroom. No need for alarm. There are good and bad in both sexes.

I'm sure you right on this matter, but I am almost positive the Chief is going to tell the absolute truth as to what the reason was and why he ultimately fired the Officer in question.

I know I will
