I want to learn from your gleanings from this passage:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperancy: against such there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23

Several questions:

In your own words, how would you describe each of these qualities?

Are you able to show me an example of one or more of these qualities displayed in Scripture?

Wow, not sure what your after with this post. But love is a desire of what's best by God of another person or persons. Joy comes from serving and taking care of God and his children, Peace we know as lack of turmoil spiritually and physically. Gentleness probably would not kill any life-form unless it was necessary to survive., Etc etc etc. We know goodness from God's teaching in the bible, which are adherence to the commandments. Faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit and can move mountains if God desires.

I thought it would be a good discussion and that someone who hasn't looked into this before may listen to different angles into this subject. Thank you for your response.

It is a good discussion as it's what guides me to follow the holy spirit. Whenever I do something that yields one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, then I know I'm doing God's will.

How do you yield to the fruit of the Spirit?

The holy spirit fills me, and yields fruits. The holy spirit has fruits as described in Galatians 5:22-23.

Do you believe that we must cooperate with the Holy Spirit in order to produce this fruit?

cooperate is not something I did. More like it happened that our will was the same by chance. Gods and mine.

Do you believe that we must cooperate with the Holy Spirit in order to produce this fruit?

Do you believe that we must cooperate with our lungs in order to produce breath? Jesus has given Christians the Holy Spirit, who directs our paths. There should be no individual effort on our part to do his will.
