Jeremiah 16:14-15 The days are coming, declares the Lord; when it will no longer be said: As surely as the Lord lives, Who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt, but it will be said: As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites [now; every faithful Christian] up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them. For I will restore them to the land I gave their ancestors.

This unfulfilled prophecy, is referred to as the ‘Second Exodus‘ and does not only refer to the return of Jews to the Land of Israel after World War 2, but to the Return also of millions of re-identified Ten Tribers who have lost their identity among the nations where they were exiled for 2730 years. The immensity of such a vast re-identification and Return will totally overshadow the original miracle filled Exodus from Egypt, according to Jeremiah.

The principle is that the Lord uses periods of travail upon His People to purify and strengthen them spiritually. Their struggles with hardship, adversity and misfortune serve to mould them into the righteous likeness which they must have to be part of His Kingdom and to be in His service.

This Divine method is not just used in the final refining process of His elect, but, throughout all humanity, even as initial Calls for their heart and minds. The Lord constantly calls on those who know Him not, who rebel against Him, but, in response, like Pharaoh, they challenge Him, for they do not wish to acknowledge Him. First God appeals to their emotions, but, like against Pharaoh, after the first Plagues, God changes His approach and even hardens his heart, while appealing to his intellect.

We, the people of Judah and Christian Israel today, when applying the allegory of ‘Pharaoh’ to ourselves, are also hard of heart against His Calls for higher devotion and commitment. This has become especially evident as we now approach the Final Redemption.

Then, like with Pharaoh, God “puts on the screws” when He calls for final refining. This time He is using a different method. He is appealing to our intellectual resources rather than our emotional. The troubles may increase, physical persecution may become a reality (like through wars or anti-Semitic onslaughts even on our lives). It is all about a higher Calling for our final refining.

As we approach the reality of the last few years before Jesus Returns, there are things that have to change and need to be achieved:

· The restoration and recognition of the Lost House of Israel, consisting of the ten Northern Tribes in exile among the nations, lost to history, but not to God. Amos 9:9

· Reconciliation has to be achieved between these re-identifying and returning Lost House of Israel and the House of Judah before the Peace can be established which will enable the Return of the Shekinah (visible Divine Presence) of God to the holy Land. Ezekiel 37, 43:1-4

· Judah: the Jews, must recognize Joseph, the Christian peoples, as the now Chosen people of God. John 15:14-16, 1 Peter 2:9. Ephesians 1:11-14 The people who have received the Kingdom; Matthew 21:43

· Joseph/Ephraim, the Ten Tribes, the peoples who have generally believed the Gospel and accepted the Salvation offered by Jesus, has to turn away from their inherited pride and rebellion against Judah (as their fathers did for which they were exiled ). As the returnee Prodigal son, they have to respect and acknowledge their ‘Brother’ Judah who has been keeping ‘The House of their Father’ during their exile ‘to the pig sties’ of paganism. They should shake off their arrogance of pride in rediscovery of Torah principles and rather than try to ‘save’ Judah, humble themselves and acknowledge the Divine Mandate of Judah as the Lawgiver of God,’ Psalms 60:7, 108:8

Like God did with Pharaoh, He will “put on the screws” in this final refining. He will be appealing to our intellectual rather than our emotional spirituality. The world is facing catastrophic culmination for its evil empire Babylon which it has been building throughout nearly 6000 years. The Sabbath Millennia is at the door.

Jeremiah 46:27-28
“Do not be afraid, Jacob, [all 12 Tribes of Israel] My servants;
do not be dismayed, Israel. I will surely save you out of a distant place; your descendants from the land of their exile.
Jacob will again have peace and security and no one will make him afraid.
Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, for I am with you,” declares the Lord.
“Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you,
I will not completely destroy you.
I will discipline you but only in due measure;
I will not let you go entirely unpunished.”

The Jews were in in bondage after that , I do not believe they have ever been sovereign.
Some who say they are Jews are not in Israel today.
They have a giant Mosque in the middle that pays tribute to a religon that started in 600 AD.
Today they rely on the United States to keep from being destroyed.

Obviously Jeremiah's prophecy does not refer to the few thousand Jews who returned from Babylon, circa 516 BC.
Or again in 1948, when a mixed lot of peoples, calling themselves Jews, established a nation they wrongly call; Israel.

We await the fulfilment of Isaiah 66:7-21, Isaiah 62:1-5, Romans 9:24-26, +

Exodus - Trailer (1960)
Name of the ship
"The theme is the founding of the state of Israel. The action begins on a ship filled with Jewish immigrants bound for Israel who are being off loaded on Cyprus. An Intelligence officer succeeds in getting them back on board their ship only to have the harbor blocked by the British with whom they must negotiate. The second part of the film is about the situation in Israel as independence is declared and most of their neighbors attack them."

7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth

Allusions in Revelation from Old Testament

Revelation 15:3
and They are singing the Song of-Mosheh, the bond-servant of the God, and the song of the Lambkin, saying, `Great and marvelous the works of Thee, Lord! the God, the Almighty, just and true the ways of Thee, the king of the [*Ages/Saints] Nations'

Exodus 15:
1 Then sang Mosheh, and the sons of Yisra'el this song unto Yahweh, and they spake saying,--"I will sing to Yahweh for He is exalted exalted,--The horse and his rider hath He cast into the Sea.
2 My might and melody is Yah, and He became mine salvation/y@shuw'ah.--This is my 'El and I will glorify Him, 'Elohiym of my father and I will set Him on high". '
21 And Miriam is responding to them: "Sing ye to Yahweh that to be triumphant He is triumphant. Horse and his rider He heaved into Sea.

THE SYMBOLISM IN BOOK OF REVELATION

One man studied and found 348 allusions (not illusions, Light) in Revelation from the Old Testament. You see the similarity in wording and the context mirrored in Revelation and the particular Old Testament story, and immediately can recognize the reference source!
That's IF you know the bible well enough to even notice that.

95 of the 348 plain references used in Revelation as taken from the Old Testament are repeated in Revelation.
That makes about 250 Old Testament passages are cited. How many chapters are in Revelation? 22. That makes about TEN OLD TESTAMENT REFERENCES FOR EVERY CHAPTER!

What I am trying to do with this thread is to show how it will be the Lord's faithful people who will occupy all of the holy Land during the final 10 years or so of this age.
Comments about historical events; unless they are shown to have fulfilled prophecy, are not only useless, but are just a red herring, only causing further confusion.

The truth of every faithful Christian going to live in the holy Land, is throughout the Bible. Most fail to see it because they don't make the connection of how we Christians are now the Israel of God. Galatians 6:14-16 They often actively oppose that idea, on the grounds that they will be in heaven, while Jewish Israel remains under tribulation. Those ideas are not stated anywhere in the Bible.

Christians are the only people of God, there is no special people, the Bible is clear that the Jews have lost their status as 'chosen'. Matthew 21:43, Revelation 2:9

Quoting Brian Fulthorp:
When was the second Exodus? At just the right time, God sent his Son into the world…. It began with the birth of Christ and was completed in and through Christ’s work on the cross and resurrection from the dead. We see the “exodus” nature of Christ’s ministry on earth most profoundly on the cross. It is through Christ work on the cross that he led the people of God out of slavery to sin and the power of death. One indicator of the exodus nature of Jesus’ ministry can be seen at the transfiguration when Jesus was talking with Moses and Elijah they were discussing his soon coming “εξοδον” which was to be completed in Jerusalem (cf. Luke 9:31). We can also bring in the fact that Joseph had to take Mary and Jesus into Egypt for a time and bring him out again (Matt 2:13-14; 19-23) as help to establish the exodus nature of Jesus’ ministry. There are also several passages in Isaiah that foretell of the coming deliverance the Messiah would bring (see esp the prophecies of the Servant of the Lord beginning at Isa 42 running through at least Isa 53).

What is the nature of the second exodus? Whereas the first Exodus was a physical deliverance of the people of Israel from slavery to the Egyptians, the second Exodus was a spiritual deliverance of the people of God from slavery to sin and the power of death. Through the cross and resurrection every believer has been set free from slavery to sin because “It was for freedom the Christ has set us free” (Gal 5:1) (see also Romans 6). In completing the second Exodus, Jesus Christ was able to complete the work Moses was unable to do: bring God’s people into true and lasting freedom. Thus our promised land is one of true and lasting freedom from sin and hence the ability to truly live as God has called us to live. There are tremendous implications to this idea of the second Exodus. With this spiritual freedom we can now live out more fully his purposes for our lives as the people of God and in extending the Kingdom of God. ~ συνεσταύρωμαι: living the crucified life

Quoting Joseph Torres:
One great New Testament theme is that of the Second Exodus. Christ is the new and greater Moses, delivering his people from a greater captor than Pharoah, to a greater Promised Land than Canaan. The Second Exodus theme can be found all over the pages of the New Testament. In light of this, here is N.T. Wright’s exciting reading of Romans 6-8 in his work Paul In Fresh Perspective:

Paul believes that the new Exodus has been launched through the work of Jesus. When he speaks in 1 Corinthians 10 of ‘our ancestors’ being ‘baptized into Moses’ and so forth, clearly indicating the parallel between being baptized into the Messiah, he seems to be envisaging Jesus’s death as the moment of new Exodus, an impression confirmed, if somewhat kaleidoscopically in terms of theme, by his almost casual reference to the Messiah as the Paschal lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7). This is then filled out by his large-scale exposition, in Romans 6-8, of the entire Exodus theme as applied to the people of God in Christ. To recapitulate the point: in Romans 6 God’s people come through the waters which mean that they are delivered from slavery into freedom; in Romans 7:1-8:11 they come to Sinai only to discover that, though the Torah cannot give the life it promised, God has done it; with the promise of resurrection before them, they are then launched onto the journey of present Christian life, being led by the Spirit through the wilderness and home to the promised land which is the renewal of all creation (8:12-30). This is Paul’s version of the retold Exodus story… (Paul In Fresh Perspective, 138)

Confusion? Because they go against your narrative? ISTM that what you're opposing is a post that was only Scripture. Is THAT a "red herring"?

Gotta love Hebrews........

Hebrews 12:
18For not ye have come toward<προσεληλύθατε<4334> the Mount touched and scorched with fire, and to blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19and a sound of a trumpet,[Revelation 8:8] and a voice of sayings, which those having heard did entreat that a word might not be added to them, 20for they were not bearing that which is commanded, ‘And if a beast may touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or with an arrow shot through,’ 21and, (so terrible was the sight,) Moses said, ‘I am fearful exceedingly, and trembling.’

22But, ye have come toward<προσεληλύθατε<4334> Mount Zion, and to a City of the living God, to the Heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of Messengers, 23to the Company and Assembly of the First-born in heaven,s enrolled, and to God the Judge of all, and to Spirits of Righteous Men made perfect, 24and to a Mediator of a new Covenant — Jesus, and to blood of sprinkling, speaking better things than that of Abel!

But "ye have come toward<4334>................"
22 ἀλλὰ προσεληλύθατε Σιὼν ὄρει καὶ πόλει θεοῦ ζῶντος, Ἱερουσαλὴμ ἐπουρανίῳ, καὶ μυριάσιν ἀγγέλων

Mountain cast into Sea

Matthew 21:21
Yet Jesus answering said to them, "amen I am saying to ye, if ever ye may be having Faith, and no ye may be doubting, not only the of the fig-tre ye shall be doing,
but even-ever to this Mountain ye may saying, 'Be being lifted up!<142> and be being cast!<906> into the Sea', it shall be becoming"; [Revelation 8:8]

Hebrews 12:
18For not ye have come toward<προσεληλύθατε<4334> the Mount touched and scorched with fire, and to blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19and a sound of a trumpet, and a voice of sayings, which those having heard did entreat that a word might not be added to them,

Revelation 8:8

And the second messenger trumpets, and as it were a great Mountain[OC Sinai?] with fire burning was cast into the Sea, and the third of the sea became blood,

And also my "mountain cast into the sea thread" thread

Faith, Mountain, and Sea Matt 21:21/Mark 11:3

2 responses so far............
Interesting. It's a lot to bite off for me, but I'm in that area of Revelation this week and I need to go back over it with this in mind. The mountain = Old Covenant (Sinai) makes sense.
Imo the mountain in this context (Matt 21 and Mark 11) is the will of the flesh and the law of sin, which has become so ingrained in us that is likened to a huge and immovable mountain. Yet, if we have faith, we can easily cast in aside by throwing it into the sea of God's mercy. Or if you want to understand sea as the mystery of baptism, in which those who believe (have faith) wash away their sins and receive the power to overcome the will of the flesh that would also be a valid interpretation.

Having said that, the word mountain or mountains can have many other meanings based on the context. It can mean the heights of virtue or virtues or that of knowledge and even the opposite that of passions and vices. It can mean the saints or the sinners i.e. those who exalt themselves, the proud even the demons. It can mean the Lord's body, physical and spiritual i.e. the Church (Isa. 2) etc.

The Great Chapter of Isaiah 29:1-24:

What will happen very soon:
Suddenly, in an instant punishment will come from the heavens. The Lord will act in His wrath against all those who make war against Jerusalem, all those who surround Israel. With a great noise amid flames of devouring fire, earthquakes and powerful storms, they will disappear like a dream, like a vision of the night – gone when you awake. So it will be with the horde of nations who attack the holy Land. They will crumble into dust and be blown away like chaff. Psalms 83, Micah 4:11-12, Revelation 6:12-17 This is quite a different event from Armageddon, it is the many prophesied Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, a literal day of a Coronal Mass Ejection sunspot explosion. Isaiah 30:26, Malachi 4:1, 2 Peter 3:7

But, disaster will come to those who live in the Land, there will be mourning and tears when the Lord makes Jerusalem His fire altar. He will bring those people down, the survivors will hide underground, their voices will squeak out of the earth. Isaiah 31:5, Zechariah 13:8-9

The Lord’s people – Jews and Christians:
Because My people worship Me with empty words and pay Me lip service, while their hearts are far from Me and their religion is but human doctrines learnt by rote, therefore I shall shock them again and again. The wisdom of their learned people will vanish and all discernment will be lost. Matthew 11:25-26
Woe to those who try to hide their devious plans from the Lord. All those who say: Who can see what we do? Who knows our plans? Do not think your Maker is unaware of your doings, you are placing yourself higher than Him, if you think that. 1 Peter 3:12

Belief in wrong teaching leads to an inability to understand the truth:
If you confuse yourself, you will stay confused, if you blind yourself, you will stay blinded. Be drunk, but not with strong drink, for the Lord has poured upon you a spirit of deep stupor. He has closed your eyes to prophetic understanding and muffled your heads; your so called, wise teachers. For you the Prophetic vision of the end times is like a sealed book that you cannot read. Isaiah 6:9-10, Acts 13:41

The Word of the Lord to the descendants of Abraham, all the true Christian people of God:
This is no time for you to be distressed, not a time for you to be frightened, for you will praise and worship My Name, [Jesus] when you see what has been done in your midst. [1 Peter 1:5] You will hold sacred your Redeemer and regard your God with awe. THEN the confused will understand and those who refused instruction will believe the truth. Isaiah 32:3-4

The holy Land Regenerated: Ezekiel 36:8
In a very short time Lebanon [and all of the holy Land] will be brought back from ruin to like a garden land and good fertile land will be as common as scrubland is now. Joel 3:18

The Lord will send rain immediately after the terrible fires and earthquakes of the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, as described in Isaiah 30:25

The veil of misunderstanding will be lifted then: Isaiah 32:4
On that Day the deaf will hear with understanding the Words of scripture and the spiritually blinded will see the truth. The lowly will once again rejoice in the Lord and the poor will exult in the Holy One of Israel. For the ungodly and the arrogant will cease to exist. Those who are quick to find mischief and those who falsely accuse others or lay traps for the unwary; all these will be cut down and perish. Isaiah 66:17, 2 Peter 3:7

The Great Exodus of the Lord’s righteous people to their inheritance:
On that Day, [NOT the Return, but at the next prophesied event.] the Lord will exert His power a second time to recover the remnant of His people from wherever they are scattered around the world. Isaiah 49:12-13, Isaiah 66:20 He will make a sign to the nations and gather those dispersed of the House of Israel, [now the Christian peoples] He will assemble Judah’s scattered people and the enmity between Israel and Judah will cease. Ezekiel 37:13-28

Their Redeemer and Deliverer is waiting to show them His favour, He will guide and protect them, in the same manner as He did with their ancestors during the Exodus from Egypt. 1 Corinthians 10:1-5
The Land will blossom and flourish, Isaiah 35:1-10 and they will live there in peace and security, excepting for a 3½ year period of control by the Anti Christ. Then will come the return of Jesus for His Millennial reign.

Isaiah 30:18 Yet the Lord is waiting to show you His favour, He yearns to have pity on you. Happy are those who wait on Him!

Ezekiel 20:34-38 By My strong arm and outpoured wrath, I shall bring you out from among the peoples and gather you from the lands where you have been dispersed. I shall bring you into a desert place and bring you into judgement, as I did with your ancestors out of Egypt. I shall pass you under the rod of judgement and count you as you enter Israel. Those who revolt and rebel against Me will not enter the Land.

outpoured wrath’ refers to the next prophesied event – the terrible Day of the Lord’s wrath and vengeance, that destroys His enemies and cleanses the Land by fire. The Christian Israelites will then march into and take over all that area promised, so long ago to Abraham.

Ezekiel 36:8 You: Land of Israel – grow your trees and yield your fruit, for the homecoming of My people, Israel, is near.

Micah 4:6 On that Day, I shall gather those who are lost, I shall assemble the dispersed.

Micah 2:12 I will assemble you, the whole House of Jacob. [now every faithful Christian] I will gather you together with those remaining in Israel and herd them like sheep in a fold.

Jeremiah 3:22 Come back, you apostate people and I shall heal you. Here we are, our God, we are coming back to You.

Jeremiah 31:8-9 See how I bring My people from the ends of the earth, a vast company – they come home, weeping and repentant. I shall comfort them and lead them on smooth paths.

Isaiah 43:19 I am about to do something new, can you see it? I will make a path for My people.

Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you, He will satisfy your needs in the desert and give strength.

Isaiah 62:10 Pass through the gates, clear a road for My people and mark their way.

Isaiah 42:16 Without fail, I shall lead the blind and guide My people along paths unknown to them.

Psalms 68:7-9 The Lord, leading His people, marching through the desert- the earth shakes and rain pours down. Isaiah 44:3

Isaiah 30:29 For you there will be joyful singing, as you march into Israel, the Holy Land of God.

Isaiah 40:26-31 Lift your eyes to the heavens, consider your Creator, He leads His people out – each summoned by name, none are missing. He gives strength to the exhausted and those who look to Him will not faint, they march as on eagles wings.

Obadiah 19:21 My people will possess the Negev, Samaria, Northern and southern Jordan and all the coastlands of the Mediterranean.

Isaiah 49:8-11 The Lord says: In the time of My favour, on the Day of Deliverance, I will come to your aid, you are My people destined to be a light to the nations and to restore the Land. Go free now and in the Land you will find food and water in plenty. It will not be too hot when the One who loves them will guide them along highways. My people, coming from all parts of the world, will shout for joy as they enter their Land. For God has comforted His people in their distress.

Isaiah 60:1-7 Arise! Shine, Jerusalem, for your light has come – over you the glory of the Lord has dawned. Though darkness covers the earth, on you the Lord shines. Over you His glory will appear. Nations and kings will come to your light. Look – your sons and daughters are coming from afar, all assembling in the Land. You will rejoice at the sight. The wealth of nations will be yours. Droves of camels laden with treasure will come and flocks of sheep will cover the Land, acceptable offerings for My altar and to enhance the splendor of My Temple.

Isaiah 60:8-11 Who are these that sail along like clouds? They are vessels assembling from the coasts and islands bringing your children from far away, their treasures with them, for the honour of the Holy One of Israel. In My wrath, I struck you down, now in My favour I show you pity. Foreigners and kings will work for you.

Isaiah 60:12-18 For the nation that refuses to serve you will perish, there will be widespread devastation among such nations. The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, to adorn My holy sanctuary. All who reviled you shall pay you homage, calling Jerusalem “The City of the Lord”. I shall give My Land and people everlasting renown. You will receive the best gifts from kings and the nations. Then you will acknowledge that your Redeemer is the Mighty One of Israel. For copper you shall have gold, for iron, silver. You will live in peace and righteousness will rule over you. No more will havoc and ruin be within your borders. Your walls will be deliverance and your gates, praise.

Isaiah 60:19-22 The sun and moon will no longer be your light, for the Lord will be your everlasting light. Your days of mourning will be ended. The Lords people, all of them righteous, will possess the Land forever. They are My own planting, the work of My hands for My adornment. The few will become a great nation.

At the appointed time, I, the Lord, will bring this swiftly to pass. Habakkuk 2:3
