I use the New American Standard Bible (NASB) as my principle English translation, but I also regularly use the NIV-UK (it's like the original '84 NIV), ESV, ASV, KJV, NKJV, NET, HCSB, & NLT. I also like the WEB as well the translations of the Berean Study and Berean Literal Bibles.

You can see all of these translations and more if you'd like here John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. and/or here Bible Gateway passage: John 1:1-3 - New American Standard Bible

i have a "new international version", "king james version" and an "english standard version study version"

do i need more?
The Amplified is very helpful. I have a Bible School. I tend to use the New American Standard and the Amplified. I also use Bible Hub. It lists most versions, except the Amplified. It makes for interesting reading, comparing the verses that way. And it's less costly than buying yet another version! Above all, we need the "Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation" to make known to us God's meaning in the Word.

I have the NAV/NIV bi-lingual Bible, the NIV Study Bible and the ESV Bible.

Those are specifically mine, but my husband has many more Bible versions, he also has an old Geneva Bible that is in English I can't understand much in his collection.. I think when he really wants me to think he tells me to read the Geneva Bible..

I'm fairly certain he's joking... although I've done so before.
