If you don't say "in his name" then you aren't saying the prayer in his name.
I think we are going around and around in circles. You have a new contender here now. Poor rocky, tsk tsk tsk.
Scripture doesn’t say to say “in His name”. It says to ask in His name.

"I don’t think you’ve thought this through. You posted all these verses saying that you must pray in Jesus name. If He doesn’t answer them all, are you really praying in His name? "

I know what you are getting at but many times my prayers are not answered. I just figure it isn't his will.

I don't see the difference, ask and say are the same to me. How can you ask if you don't say?

Then praying “in His name” doesn’t really do anything, does it?

Why can't you accept that we think differently? You are a deep thinker. I am not and never have been. It hurts my brain:)
You started the thread. I’m participating.

Yeah there's nothing at all wrong with using it. I think others are just disagreeing that you have to use it every time you pray and that it has an effect on what you're asking for.

Not to mention, not all our prayers should be simply asking for stuff, so you should ask yourself does it make sense to say something like "God you are amazing. Thank you for your wisdom and sovereignty in my life. In Jesus' name, amen."

In a case like that, saying "in Jesus' name" doesn't really seem to make sense...
I agree, especially when you are just talking to God. I talk to him several times a day but I do not end with that as it isn't really a prayer. With prayer I do. An individuals choice.

I take it you don't think that is discouraging?
That’s a comment. There’s no intent to discourage anyone from saying “in Jesus name”.

Remember, here’s the question in the OP.

“Do you think God hears/answers our prayers if we don't end in "in Jesus name, amen."?”

And the answer is still the same. No.

I am thinking our prayers may mean more to God if we have listened and followed his sons commands.
To me it is not wise to Brush off what Jesus commands us to do. How many times do you find Jesus talking to us like that?

John 14:13

"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 15:16

"You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

John 16:23-24

"In that day you will not question Me about anything Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. "Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.

If you ask for something outside of His will, you aren’t asking in His name regardless of how many times you say it.
