They wen't there and preached for the thing, they lobbied for the thing, they praised the thing.

They were for the thing.

As passed the law was still monstrous, and yet they praised it, their courts thought better of it though.
Incorrect. The FRC made its position clear.

If you had said they made a poor choice I wouldn't argue with you. I'm just saying that you're misrepresenting it.

They made their position clear after the fact, they also made their position clear before that.

If the SPLC uses the words of the organization or spokespeople from the organization, how can it be considered a hate group?
This. There is a complete inability to understand that:
I disagree with you /=/ "hate speech".
But it's not just, I disagree with you. It's been fights for things like the ability to adopt; benefits etc... There is a history of actively repressing rights or other activities that need to not repressed.

No, not at all. No one's rights have been repressed. Everyone has the same rights.

They didn't just support it they helped originate it and lobbied for it, now they're telling lies about it.

‘Family’ Group Applauds Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill

Uganda Has Tony Perkins Support

If the situation were reversed and some radical gay atheist was trying to get countries to criminalize Christianity I'll bet you would consider them hate groups.
"ThinkProgress" isn't a legit source, unless you also believe WND is a great source. Let's look at some rational sources.

Your own source says...by the way...."The press has widely mischaracterized the law which calls for the death penalty, not for homosexual behavior which is already a crime, but for acts such as intentionally spreading HIV/AIDS, or preying upon vulnerable individuals such as children, which has been a problem in Uganda for years because the large number of orphans.

So the assertion that FRC "celebrated" killing people is still false.

You keep mis-representing the FRC. Even through your links the FRC was very clear about what they supported and what they didn't.

Noting also that even leftist FACT checkers will only give your source on this, ThinkProgress, a "mixed" rating for accuracy.
I quoted what his own source said. Clear misrepresentation, but then ThinkProgress is known for this.
