By the way john23237 and PETUNIA reread site rules about goading and inflaming. Your "funny"s in post 5 are violations and so is your comment in that post, Barb.

I've been on the forum for 15 years. I know the rules quite well. Don't be so sensitive. I wasn't laughing 'at you'. And I'm sure John wasn't either. I was chuckling at the way the Barbarian pointed out that the poll came from Fox news... in contrast to your suggesting that the poll was 'made up'. Fox news wouldn't do that. Not in the case of Trump. They've been in Trump's back pocket since he started campaigning. That is because the owner of Fox wanted Trump to win the presidency. And they have been supporting him since.

Here recently in the news, we see signs of Trump turning against Fox.. Because he doesn't like the poll numbers, and frankly, just can't believe he's not the best president in history and that everyone doesn't love him as much as he loves himself.

...why would he feel the need to? As far as he's concerned all his sins (past, present and future) were all pronounced forgiven by his Evangelical following here in America. :sorry:
tulc(just thought that should be pointed out)
Trump needing forgiveness? I'll believe it when I ser it. Pence got the VP sppt because of the nationally publicized controversies over gay roghts. He sinhef a bill into law that protectected businesses who refused to make cakes for gay weddings snd sich.

I do not know your political position. An ignorant person would think that Fox and and PRESIDENT Trump are joined at the hip but in fact, Fox has aligned with the "politically correct" mainstream many times against PRESIDENT Trump. I was an ignorant once myself thinking that it was a given that Fox was aligned with PRESIDENT Trump. Not so. So your intended slam and those who laughed with it have joined in pronouncing your ignorance.
For example:
"U.S. President Donald Trump took a swipe Monday while at a rally in Pennsylvania at Fox News,..." from the Associated Press on 5/21/19 and,
"“Watching Fake News CNN is better than watching Shepard Smith, the lowest rated show on @FoxNews." from SCMP 8/18/19 and,
"...Fox News...primetime hosts have now criticized Trump twice in as many months over off-message remarks.: from the left's own Huffpost.

And this goes all the way back to his election. I witnessed Fox News bad-mouthing newly-elected President just after the final results were in.

That's precisely what dismissing the testimony of people you don't want to hear, amounts to.

Until you learn to read writers with whom you can't agree, hear news from sources you don't trust, and can empathize persons far from your own beliefs and assumptions, you'll never get where you need to go.
If it is known or established that an information source is fallible (biased, intentionally erroneous, and/or non-objective) then it is corrupt if it maintains that its reporting the truth. The objective truth seeker following scientific methodology must totally abandon the source because of this corruption as NOTHING can be trusted if just one part is fallible. If one is seeking universal truth and not one's own subjective inclinations/biases ("truth") then non-objective, biased sources must be totally ignored, NOT attempted to be sifted through as such sifting must naturally entail a subjective/biased grid or screen resulting in nothing more than a corrupted and incredible improvisation.

Fox News management seem to have concluded that they boarded a sinking ship.
The reality is that probably all 23 Democratic presidential candidates could defeat this President in 2020, paving the way for "The Donald" to face a series of criminal charges the moment he leaves office - unless Trump attempts to test the limits of the Constitution by pardoning himself!

A Trump departure from the White House would bring into question FOXNEWS' very reason for existence, demanding a major reorientation of its business plan/strategy in a post-Trump America!

Fox News has been irrelevant to the Right Wing for the better part of a decade. It is predominately NeoCon Boomers who still watch it, while the rest of us have turned to other sources years ago. Our friends on the Left have not been quick to realize this.

Fox News is no friend of or to the Right.

...so...you don't watch any news at all then? Because there isn't any thing that meets that standard. It kind of begs the question why you'd be hanging out in any of these sections of Christian Forums since they all are based on news sources that (according to your definition) are
nothing more than a corrupted and incredible improvisation.

There may be hope for FOXNEWS yet that someday they will join the rest of America's mainstream media whom this President has referred to as "enemies of the people!"
Trump pretty much trailed in the polls throughout 2016. Winning the popular doesn't always win the electorial college.

Fox's viewers vastly outnumber those of any other right-wing outlet. They are in a position to help or cripple Trump as they see fit.

That's about as relevant as it gets.

Let's hope that obtaining a majority of Electoral College votes despite receiving 3 million fewer ballots in the popular vote was an anomaly in America politics - conservatives shouldn't "bet the farm" that lightning will strike twice!

It is totally unacceptable in the 21stC that the electoral system of the world's premier democracy rewards the "runner-up" in the popular vote, sending a message to the 3 million US citizens, who just happen to be Democratic voters, that their vote doesn't count and they might as well have stayed home!

If "runner-up" Presidents were to become a reoccurring outcome in modern American politics, the very legitimacy of the Commander and Chief would be seriously compromised in the eyes of the public - over an arcane Electoral College that can frustrate true democracy and serves no useful purpose except to supress the Democratic vote!

That is right. The only thing I get the Sunday paper for is store ads and maybe real estate and other ads.
I might check out local news about new construction such as parks or stores, oh, and the only comic that interests me is the one where you have to find 6 or so different details in the two pixs. If I read anything about national or world news I don't form any conclusions even if they clearly make one. I only read that stuff to get the jest of things. Like I said, you cannot trust in the details. The priority of journalism and news is making money not truth; that is whole truth.

I'm hoping for an issues oriented campaign. The popular vote is more then a comfortable margin, if it's like 10%. I always watch Ohio, somehow they always pick the winner. We aren't really going to know much fot a year but the economy is starting to slow. Investors get painfully cautious during a Presidential election where it can go either way.
