Ezekiel 8:6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.

You would have us believe the house of Israel was committing great abominations in the Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all???????

SIGH!

Can't you really read carefully what I wrote?

Jerusalem, as a great city or as a congregation, MAKE UP OF TWO GROUPS OF PEOPLE. One is Elect. Another is professed Christians. Tell me which one of them will actually abominations into the congregation? Is it not the professed Christians under the influence of false christs and prophets?

Mat 22:14
(14) For many are called, but few are chosen.
Do you understand this? God calls many people into His New Testament congregation the church that is supposed to represent His City and Kingdom. But only a few of them are actually chosen or saved. Therefore, there are two groups of people WITHIN the congregation.

See...Jesus defeated Satan and cast him out of Old testamnet congregation and rebuilt it in three days as New Testament congregation. Christ keeps Satan at bay until He finishes building the church for the past 1,900 years. After Christ have finished secured all of His people He intended to seal has been sealed, THEN God loosened Satan out of bottomless pit and bring him back into His congregation as a judgment upon those who are NOT faithful. This is HOW Satan will deceive those WITHIN the church who have NOT been sealed by God and gather them together to wage spiritual war against faithful Elect where their false prophets and christs now ruling the church! This is how the city (church) as become spiritually called Sodom and Egypt where God commanded His people to come out like Lot did with Sodom. This is Armaggeddon!

Didn't you read the Scripture?

Rev 9:3-4
(3) And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
(4) And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

To be fair to you then, I will reread that post in question again. There is such a thing as something initially going over someone's head the first time around, thus further clarity is needed. Maybe you are the only one that is perfect around here, thus things like that never happen with you? As to some of the rest of us though, we are still human, thus still prone to making mistakes at times.

Revelation 18 is an interesting and revealing chapter that describes a cargo of fine linen and purple and is also arrayed in fine linen and purple:

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon

4016. periballo from 4012 and 906;
to throw all around, i.e. invest (with a palisade or with clothing):--array, cast about, clothe(-d me), put on.

Revelation 18:
11 And the Merchants of the land are lamenting<2799> and mourning<3996> over Her, that their cargo<1117> no one is buying anymore.
12 Cargo of gold and silver, and precious stone and pearl and fine linen and purple, and silk, and scarlet...................
15 The Merchants of these, those being rich from Her, from afar<3113> shall be standing, because of the fear of Her torment<929>, weeping<2799> and mourning<3996>, 16 and saying, Woe! Woe! the great City, that was having been arrayed<4016> fine linen and purple and scarlet and have been gilded in gold and precious stone and pearls.
That to one hour was desolated<2049> the so much riches.
============================
One thing that led me to do a more in depth study on those particular passages was because of my deep study on the covenantle parable/story of the Rich Man and Lazarus[poor beggar] where fine linen and purple are also mentioned. [Abraham and Moses are also mentioned]

Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary

1737. endidusko a prolonged form of 1746;
to invest (with a garment):--clothe in, wear.

Luke 16:19

A certain Man was rich and clothed<1737> in purple and fine linen making-merry down to a-day, shiningly<2988> [Matt 22:11]

We begin by scrutinizing the description Yeshua gives us of the rich man. First, he tells us that this man was clothed in purple and fine linen. This type of clothing would not have been out of the ordinary for one of considerable wealth during this time period. However, this attire also has symbolic meaning. The Eerdmans Bible Dictionary says: "The wearing of purple was associated particularly with royalty . . ." (p. 863, "Purple"). In addition, the New Bible Dictionary tells us: "The use of linen in OT times was prescribed for priests (Ex. 28:39). The coat, turban and girdle must be of fine linen." (p. 702, "Linen").

So we see that the garments worn by this rich man were symbolic of royalty and the priesthood. With that in mind, let's see what God told Moses just before giving the Israelites the Law on Mount Sinai:

The clothing of the rich man identifies him symbolically with the people of Israel, chosen by God to be His special people. They were called to be a witness to the nations surrounding them, confirming the blessings available to those who would obey God and keep His laws. Unfortunately, they frequently did not live up to the high calling given to them by God. Eventually He sent them into captivity for their refusal to honor their part of the covenant ratified at Mount Sinai. At the time of Yeshua, only the House of Judah continued to have a covenant relationship with God. The rich man in this parable represents the religious Jews of Yeshua's day, exemplified by their teachers, the Pharisees and scribes.

Verse 19 also tells us that the rich man "fared sumptuously every day." Figuratively, this represents the magnificent spiritual feast available only to the Jews, who were the sole remaining part of God's called people, Israel. In the 1st century CE, they were the only people on earth who had the true religion. Indeed, Paul recounts the glorious station of the House of Judah in Romans 9:
==========================================
Purple and fine linen occur together in only 3 verses of the NT

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV)

Luk 16:19
“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
Rev 18:12
“merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;
Rev 18:16
“and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!

I'm not going to comment on your answer of Jerusalem. I want to focus on your approach.

Prophecy is often written with an eye toward confusion. God doesn't want to give us the answer until either right before or after the event. Therefore, latching onto incidental items is probably not going to be helpful. Better to focus on the big picture and ignore incidentals like all of Rev 18:11-19.

What's the big picture?

1. A great city is being destroyed.
2. The blood of saints is found in her. She did something to those saints.
3. Christians will be happy with her demise.
4. Render double punishment according to her works.
5. She thinks she is untouchable.
6. She will be burned in one day.

Her punishment is double what she has done (18:6). The punishment is based on what she has done. If she is nuked (burned) as punishment, then she must have nuked (burned) somebody else.

She has a nuclear arsenal and thinks she is untouchable. She nuked either a Christian city or country.

Who is it?

At this time we can't know for sure.

Merchants? Seems like Babylon is some shopaholic shopping at those fine Gucci and American eagles stores! LoL jk
Jerusalem appears to have had merchants selling things.

Neh 13:20
Now the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.

John 2: [Revelation 18:11]
14 and He found in the Temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting, 15 and having made a whip of small cords, He put all forth out of the temple, also the sheep, and the oxen; and of the money-changers he poured out the coins, and the tables he overturned

The Great City/Harlot/Queen Revelation chapts 17-19

Revelation 18: [John 2:11-13]
11 And the merchants of the land are lamenting and are mourning over Her, that the cargo of them no-one is buying not-still
13 and cinnamon and incenses and attars and frankincense and wine and oil and flour and grain and beasts and sheep and of horses and of chariots and of bodies and souls of men.

Where does it say anything about nukes?
