Sounds sadly all too familiar, Michie. I did a Christology subject at university for my theology major, taught by an Anglican minister who was well-meaning but terribly insipid — kept referring to "the disciples' experience of the resurrection" rather than "the resurrection" itself. I finally had the guts to ask him: "When you say 'the experience of the resurrection', are you suggesting the resurrection didn't actually happen?" He looked a little awkward and admitted: "Er, well — I'm not sure we can consider the resurrection a historical event in the same sense that we can consider the crucifixion a historical event..." I decided not to press it any further than that, but honestly...!!! :( o_O

Incredibly disappointing! All this haziness is just a false gospel.

Exactly. Paul even said as much.
I can understand why many people can't believe that it really happened — I used to be an agnostic myself — but what is the point of Christianity itself if "He is NOT risen"???

When God is so disinterested in human affairs that he might as well be nonexistant.
Meh.

A real God found me, thank you. I don't have time for those other maybe sorta ones of liberal theology.
