Thank you for making my point so clearly.

When everything is being called a 'conspiracy theory', the claim loses all legitimacy.

When you start talking about secret coups against the US government and about people being murdered by famous politicians, then you’re firmly in conspiracy theory land.

If you genuinely think those things are legitimate, then you probably need to take a break from InfoWars for a while.

Are you grasping at straws to blame the president?

I didn't force him to create a committee which failed to find any evidence of patterns of illegal voting. But there's no reason not to mention that particular failure when it is relevant to the discussion.

ETA - especially when it fits into the same pattern of attempts at voter suppression and intimidation that seem to be common among some right wing groups, including the ones I mentioned and the OP.

This matter was brought to court by Judicial Watch, a non-profit watchdog group. Do you have an issue with Judicial Watch?

They can waste their money however they like.

It's interesting that you keep bringing up InfoWars. It's as if you want to associate InfoWars with people who express opinions you don't like. Please stop. It's annoying and serves no useful purpose in civilized discussion.

Perhaps you could focus on the topic at hand instead of smearing people and organizations with 'InfoWars'. Thanks in advance.

If you’re going to go around supporting people who promote conspiracy theories, then you can expect little else.

Would you like it if someone told you to stop listening to the musings of Che Guevara? Or Mao? Or Stalin?

If I was going around supporting communists then I’d absolutely expect it.
I hate to rain on your parade, but supporting socialism qualifies.

Che, Mao and Stalin considered themselves to be socialists. Just for what it's worth ...

Oh, give it up. It's a cute line but the people you are using it on aren't all that stupid.

Seriously, the Democrats are taking the entirely wrong tack on this. State voter rolls are a mess, electoral procedures and security are a mess. Dems ought to be taking the lead in these cleanups and reforms if they want to be able to defend against blatant Republican attempts to use them for political advantage. The truth of who is really qualified and legally registered to vote will always benefit Democrats.

I wasn't trying to be cute.

I was educating. People rarely wake up one day and suddenly realize they're surrounded by evil that wasn't there before. Che, Mao, Stalin and Hugo Chavez and were hailed as great men, champions of the little man, socialists all, people who were going to make everyone's life good. The problem is that socialism works against man's inherent nature and requires savage force to implement ... and then gets worse.

On that we agree.

And so will the Right's agenda. If you look at all those regimes (and you could throw in some right-wing examples if you wanted) they all have one thing in common. If you examine any extremist ideological state of the Left or the Right you will find down in the cellar a representative constitutional government of some kind, often copied directly from our own (North Vietnam being a good example.) What they all have in common as extremist ideological regimes is not that they are socialist or capitalist but that they are one-party states, either de facto or de jure. That is what brings in the savagery. That is why I see Trumpism as dangerous.

Yeah, if there is going to be vote-rigging and suppression, the party with the clean hands will be better off in the long run.

Good thing that isn't the problem Judicial Watch uncovered in Maryland.
Has Judicial Watch ever covered malfeasance, suspected or actual, by a Republican? Anyone else notice that periodic reports on travel by the president's family ceased the moment the adminstration changed parties? It is completely partisan.

Ever? Yes. Currently? No. I was curious, so I did a search on their site for "voter fraud" since there were some fairly high-profile cases of GOP voter fraud in the 2018 election that went to court (most notably in Virginia). I had to wade through 9 pages of search results about bloated voter rolls and illegal immigrant voters before I found an article from 2008 that briefly covered the arrest of some members of a GOP organization for fraudulent registrations in Southern California.

Well, okay then, I stand corrected! ^_^

After reading up on this group, I would not be surprised if their math was off. They tried something similar in California.
I hope this a ploy for extreme Conservatives to get our info , leak it to Trump.

I’m fairly sure someone with a grade school understanding of socialism isn’t going to teach me anything, but thanks for the kind offer.
