Along the path of life, I have strayed on more occasions than I am willing to count, but God has never let me go. His love for us is steadfast and certain.

Whenever a child disobeys a parent, they may need gentle correction, and even discipline, but they still remain the child that the parent continues to nurture and love.

Our Heavenly Father loves all of His children and longs to show them the right way to live. He does not want to punish, but to bless us and help us to live happier, purposeful and meaningful, holy lives.

He came that we may have life and have it abundantly.

When we first come to faith in Christ, we repent of our sins and receive His forgiveness.
But it is not a one-off. We are called to a new life of faithfulness and obedience.

But none of us is perfect, and no matter how many years we have been in the faith, sometimes we mess up and get things wrong.

There are different ways we can say sorry to God. We can do it in the quiet of our own prayer time, or praying together with a trusted friend. Some churches have a form of penitence as part of the service and some Christians find it helpful to confess their sins to a minister or priest so they can pray with them. Whatever way we confess our sins to God, the most important thing is to do it. Unconfessed sins can be a major stumbling block for growing in our faith.

The good news is that if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous and He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 2.1).

When we come to Him in faith and say we are sorry, we can be absolutely assured of His forgiveness.

Today in confession, my priest instructed me to pray for an increase in faith...guys I just started a thread on that very topic!

this man is on fire, and he kept saying hallelujah in the confessional, as I was talking.

I'm on fire, hes on fire, and its super awesome, to have a spirit filled priest. he sets the congregation on fire!

What can you do? Its the power of the Holy Spirit working!!

Hi joymercy!
We are so pleased you are back - we were all missing you here :)
Your priest sounds like a great minister and pastor, and it is so great to hear that you had such encouragement and support and that he is a great blessing to the congregation.
Hope you are having a fab weekend!
