...alas the same old arguments: If you disagree with me, you are:
- Anti-AMerican (or Anti Israel)
- you hate ____

Those are baseless arguments.
Why do you hate America and Jews? :D

Israeli TV Reports US Congress members Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib Barred from Visiting

Israel has decided to bar US congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from entering the country, following fierce debates on the matter in the Prime Minister’s Office, Channel 12 reported on Thursday.

The unconfirmed report, which did not cite a source, said the final decision was being drafted and passed around for revisions before the move is publicly announced
.

Officially, the decision is still under review:

The possibility exists that Israel will not allow the visit as currently planned,” said the official earlier on Thursday, speaking to reporters on condition of anonymity. “The professional and legal teams in the Prime Minister’s Office are still studying the material.”

Good for Israel

So a month ago Israel gave both Congress members permission to enter Israel, in the full knowledge of their support of the BdS movement, and it is only after the intervention of the US President that they have been barred.
How so?

This is an "unconfirmed" report given to the media outlet by "unnamed officials" that there is a "possibility" that Israel "may decide" to bar entrance..

Not anything real, just gossip.
Trump was on the news. Telling Israel ,that these women shouldn't be allowed . After that they bared them from coming.

"The Post reported that “House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) took the issue up with Israeli officials on Wednesday on behalf of the Democratic leadership, but could not convince the government to let the lawmakers in.” Hoyer is among Israel’s most devoted friends in the U.S. Congress. To rebuff a direct plea from him would be extraordinary.

The ban is a stunning, unprecedented step, one that signals Israel, long a bastion of democracy in the Middle East, cannot tolerate criticism — even from nationals of its closest ally."

LOL! As if these particular "nationals" don't have a history of troubling invective towards Israel. Once again WaPo thinks it's readers are stupid.

At least this time Donald and his followers are rushing to support an ally over their own fellow citizens. It is at least marginal progress from supporting a country like, say, Russia over our own citizens.

Russia defeated ISIS in Syria. Israel never lifted a finger against ISIS.

Nonetheless, it seems to be terribly presumptuous to think that you can talk smack about a country in public and be surprised when they turn out to be cool to the idea of letting you into their country.

I'm sure if a country tried to deny President Trump a visit, the screams would be loud and numerous.

British Parliament once discussed doing precisely that...

It is so interesting to watch people come out in favor of government retaliation of speech.
Not really. I've also seen it in threads where many posts were complaining about various tech companies' approaches towards limiting the reach of white supremacist propaganda.

But more to the (alleged) reason for the ban - Russia also interfered in our elections.

While were on the topic of Israel, AIPAC and the ADL have influenced US politics far more than Russia's buying a few Facebook ads. Why should any investigation of foreign interference in US elections start with Russia? Other than the need for a scapegoat for Donald Trump's defeat of Hillary Clinton.

In this case, when one of the candidate's employees bragged that he was contacted by Russians who had information on his employee's opponent.

The candidate asking them for that information on live TV probably didn't hurt.
