This is actually me right now to be perfectly honest.
In like manner, to be perfectly honest.
When a person says I am losing my Faith, then they need to STOP right there and ask themselves, what do I have my Faith in if I am losing it?
1 Co. 2:2
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Is your Faith in anything other than "Jesus Christ and Him Crucified"?
If people would just sit down and sit still for 5 minutes, they might get somewhere.
What I mean is, get down and STUDY, I don't mean Read the Bible, I mean STUDY, people need to understand, what we think we understand is something completely different than what God is saying, every WORD in the Bible has a specific meaning, and if you believe you know what that word means (Definition) think again, the Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek therefore don't think just because it was Translated into English, that you necessarily know the Definition for such and such word, or how it is being used in such and such sentence, (Verse) because if your Reading in the New Testament, you need to know what that specific word means in GREEK not English.
Every single time I read, it very quickly turns into study by the Holy Spirit, I believe whenever I read, God is going to speak to me personally, why do I believe that, because, I am His Child, I am reading His words to me about the things He wanted me to know therefore, He had them recorded in the Bible which I am reading, ..... Simple right?
I may begin reading in a certain place, or on a certain subject, I read until I become aware, there is a certain Word, Term, or Phrase that isn't quite clear and I keep reading it over and over and it still doesn't sink in.
I then pick out the Word in the Term or Phrase which I don't think I understand, and look it up in my Concordance.
That is the point where the Holy Spirit begins to Teach me, and I might not have even gotten finished with 1 Chapter, or about 5 min, worth of reading.
At the point I get the definition of the word there are other words in the definition which spark my interest, so I look them up also in order to understand just how that first word related to these others, then there are other verses which come to mind, and I look at them as well, seeing if what I am understanding is correct, by the time I finish I find I have STUDIED for over 2 Hrs, and I have read things all over the Bible in this search the Holy Spirit has led me on.
The Bible is first and foremost a Book of WORDS, if we understand those Words, they will open up the whole Bible to us.
There are two verses, they are not about what I have just said, but if you apply them as though they are, you will never hunger, the Holy Spirit will feed you mightily.
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you,
ASK, and it shall be given you;
SEEK, and ye shall find;
KNOCK, and it shall be opened unto you.
Mat. 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
Don't worry about or Seek Temporal things, if you Ask for the Kingdom, it Shall be given to you, when you Seek the Kingdom, you WILL find it, when you Knock on the gates of the Kingdom, it WILL be opened unto you.
Therefore Ask God to show you the Kingdom in His word, what I mean is how does what I am reading relate to His Kingdom, in your doing so, the Holy Spirit will show you how to apply this knowledge of the Kingdom in order for it to become more clear to you.
Seek the Kingdom in your reading, until you see it in the words written before you.
Once you really do see the Kingdom, that is when you Knock for entrance, and it SHALL BE opened unto you.
But it all begins with understanding the words your reading, and not just taking for granted that you understand the Definition for that English word, because you always need to remember the Bible was not written in English.
Lastly, don't worry about what God has done, or why He has done what he has, your position as a Child of God, follower of Christ, a Disciple of Christ.
If you apply yourself to Seeking God and His Righteousness, and His Kingdom, Every question which is designed to push you further away from God, Shall be answered for you.
When in school, you might question a Teacher about the subject he is teaching, in order for you to be able to understand the subject better, but you would never ask the teacher about WHY he teaches the WAY he does or WHY he has failed another student, making him have to repeat the subject.
