1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

That tells us Earth is not eternal. It had a physical beginning.
"and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
Well there must have been water and if there was nothing there how could darkness be on the face of anything?
I don't have the answers I am just saying.......

Actually it was man who decided to take it literally, does the original language lend itself to the literal? Does the culture lend itself to a literal understanding? You see people always say that what your saying but they are not the same thing there was evidence for Christ there was no evidence for Creation and American evangelicals can be wrong on how to look at Genesis since they are looking only to the English version and ignoring the culture, context, an how understanding was back then.
Sorry but when I read:

Matthew 14:25 New International Version (NIV)

25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.

I believe Jesus walked on water.

John 11:35 King James Version (KJV)
35 Jesus wept.

I believe Jesus wept.

Joshua 10:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

I believe that the sun and moon stopped in the sky.

Or when I read anything else, I believe it is true as written.

No man decided that Genesis should be read literal... Men decided that it should not be.

No human bones have EVER been found with Dinosaur bones / fossils.
Or tools or other human artifacts as there have been with mammoths, camels, etc.

The earth was created in 6 literal days. Using elements that took 6 billion years to create.
Really? The God that can do all things took 6 billion years of waiting for all the material to be formed?

If I could do anything.. .I would just make it in a snap... Like God did.

Our timeline is not necessarily Gods timeline. i don't remember whether this is biblical or not but somewhere I remember this: A day is a thousands years to God.
It means God is outside of time.. Time is part of the universe He created.... Time space and matter... all were created by God.. He is not part of it.. not confined by it.. so for Him a day is like a thousand years... as He is not confined by time.

Actually man did decide without really any evidence that it should be. How was it understood culturally? How is it understood in the original language?

Neanderthal and dinosaurs seem an important thing to me. And so because they were not mentioned in the bible explicitly they must be before Genesis. If you can't believe in anything prior to the Genesis I don't know how you can explain fossils, ages of trees, and many things that scientists explain.

You must remember.. Adam knew Methuselah who knew Noah, who's son knew Abraham.. It was not some long lost mythical legendary story.. It was common knowledge.

Jeremiah talks about this also.

Jeremiah 4:23
I looked at the earth, and it was formless and empty; I looked to the heavens, and they had no light.

We are told: "God is light; in him there is no darkness at all." (1 John 1)

Dinosaurs are found in the bible in the book of Job... Behemoth and Leviathan.

If this is true, why do we have tons of fossils that are millions or billions of years old? That is just not possible.

Here's the problem with "theistic evolution" (or even just evolution in general as it applies to Genesis.

In order to have evolution, there has to be death; because (you know only the fittest survive).

If there was no death until there was sin; this makes evolution impossible according to Scripture.

Now, there is "adaptation to environment". That though was inherent in the genome of every "kind" made, not one "kind" changing to another.

If there is no death, there are no fossils. And we all know there are tons of fossils around the world.

There was obviously death before there was sin. Look at all of the species that became extinct: including, of course, dinosaurs.

We learn this from Carl Sargan & Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the hosts of cosmos program on TV. They talk about how the elements were created in the furnace of a sun. The spectroscope, works off of color. So we can look at a star and see what elements are contained in that star. In the beginning there was hydrogen and helium lithium beryllium.

Science tells us HOW God made the clay we read about in our Bible.

It is not just the creation of Earth, but all of nature, that we are talking about. No, it did not take 6 billion years, but God did spend a long time creating everything.

Because they cannot accuately date items.

All instruments of measure need a standard by which they are calibrated.

A scale needs a known weight.
A thermometer can be put in boiling water.
Metals hardness is based on instruments calibrated by items of known hardness.

Where do they get the 1,000,000 year old rocks.. of known and verified age.. by which to calibrate their date machine?

It's all speculation and theory.. Many things have proved it inaccurate.

Everything happens all at once based on our view point and perspective. This was explained to us by Einstein. Gerald Schroeder PhD can explain this a lot better then I can. I understand a little bit about the physics of light, but nothing like a PhD in Physics understands. Gerald Schroeder - Articles - Age of the Universe

Well there's some progress... I'm still sticking to 6 days because my God can do it and said He did it. Nuff said.

Ya, Neil DeGrass Tyson also said that there is 95% of the matter that is causing gravity missing.. He said when it comes to the cosmos we are 95% stupid.. I agree with him... Man thinks that they are wise but God will show them to be the fools that they are.
