Only comedy is worth rewatching imo. Other genres are liable to bore with memories of plot or ending still intact

Arakawa Under The Bridge
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Hunter X Hunter (10 yrs later)
Tsuritama
Spirited Away
My Love Story
Teasing Master Takagi-san
Daily Lives of High School Boys
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto
Rewatched more series with friends but let's not count that..

I remember Ouran High School Host Club being surprisingly good. It had a lot of uniqueness to it and was a refreshing change of pace since I typically watch shonen action anime. I'm tempted to rewatch Spirited Away. Whisper of the Heart is underrated.

Here's my list of multiple watchings:

Kiki's Delivery Service
Spirited Away
Your Name
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
My Neighbor Totoro
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Castle in the Sky
Whisper of the Heart
Porco Rosso
The Cat Returns
Howl's Moving Castle
Violet Evergarden (episode 10)

One I will never watch again: Grave of the Fireflies (too depressing)

Akira
Record of Lodoss War (the original one, not Chronicles of the Heroic Knight)
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Visions of Escaflowne
Samurai 7
Vampire Hunter D (the first one)
Ninja Scroll
Appleseed (1988... probably my favorite anime ever)

I'm not really into anime though. It lost a lot of what attracted me to it as a kid when it all became computer generated and traditional cel animation was thrown on the dustbin of history. What I've noticed, is that a lot of the anime now seems like it's made for Western teenagers instead of a domestic Japanese audience. So on the rare occasions that I watch Anime, I gravitate toward stuff from the 80s and early 90s. It had more of a gritty, edgy feel to it without being angsty and that made it more appealing to me as an adult.

I think just Madoka Magica, Zoids New Century Zero (the tournament based one, not the more complex story I've only seen a bit of) and .hack Roots. Maybe also Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, was almost better second time around.

This thread made me realize how there's just so much stuff out there. I've re-watched the Dragon Ball series many times, and a few other animes I have re-watched once.

I re-vist old shows that I watched once before because of curiosity, and to remember old times. I watched the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya after many years of seeing it for the first time, and I have to say how times have changed.

I don't keep up with the older stuff. I've watched seasonal anime more in recent years, so there's that.

I've watched Black Cat twice too. Many series have had a remake in recent years. I'd say Black Cat is one series that could use a remake.

Hunter X Hunter. Watched the 2011 version in November 2021 - March 2022, and the 1999 version in the spring of 2023. My favorite character is Leorio, plus his name is pretty cool and is quadrisyllabic (has four syllables) which is quite rare for a name. :)
