It's not "getting to be" - he has always been prone to gaffs, unlike poor Donald who used to be articulate. The last decade has not been kind to Donald, but, oddly, his fans seem to like him better this way.
Not for the last ten years. Poor Donald has become limited, repetitious and simplistic - years ago he could speak whole paragraphs not only staying on topic, but with complex clauses.
Yeah, he's biding his time.

Why do you say Donald used to be articulate? On the apprentice he shot from the hip just like now. His "strengths" seem to have been negotiating and knowing how to out-maneuver the opposition.
The Donald seems to have been doing what he loves. He loves the fray. It keeps him energized.
Perhaps it's an adaptation to the sound-bite culture. He seems to be using it to his advantage.

People need to stop making dementia allegations a weapon in the political arena. There are people suffering from real dementia, with suffering relatives. This is just tabloid journalism level.

Biden was much farther afield and I believe he also is running for President. If they run against each other how would Ohio voters be more forgiving to Biden than Trump? At least Trump got their state right. Biden thinks they live in Michigan.
