Nope I have said no such thing and if I have said or believe no such thing why do you pretend that I have? Apart from JESUS I have no righteousness. God's righteousness in me *PHILIPPIANS 3:9; 1 CORINTHIANS 1:30; 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21; PHILIPPIANS 1:11 is dependent on believing and following God's Word which is a gift of God *ROMANS 1:16-17; ROMANS 3:21-25; EPHESIANS 2:8-9; ROMANS 10:3-4; JOHN 8:31-36; GALATIANS 2:21. You did not read the scriptures provided did you. You do not have to if you do not want to it is up to you.
Are you saved by faith alone, as Paul discusses in Romans 3 and following?

What was the point of this post, since it has nothing to do with the OP and is off topic?
Yep sadly it is what happens all through these threads :(. Some hear some do not want to hear. Many are called but few are chosen.

What do the scriptures say in the post you are quoting from? You do not know do you or you would not be asking that question.

You didn’t post scripture. You posted references. So I need to ask the questions to come to an understanding of what you believe.

Yes, according to scripture, persons can, indeed, lose salvation and eternal life. As two examples, for a witness:

OT - King Saul
NT - Ananias and Sapphira
Scripture says nothing about the eternal destinies of either Saul or Ananias/Sapphira.

It is questionable what status Saul ever had with God. He became King by Israel's choice as God strove to teach them a lesson. He didn't perform as one having an eternal relationship with God, if that was even possible in the Old Testament time-frame.

Ananias and Sapphira paid for their lies with their physical lives. Nothing in the narrative indicates that they lost any eternal connection with God.

And for the record, it says He takes the branches away. It does not say He cuts them off.

That’s due to Protestant translators ignoring the context. The NLT version actually got it correct. Jesus is talking about branches that are attached to the vine. Notice the definition of the Greek word aírō in reference to something that is attached to something provided below.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

away

With no context. It’s a simple question. Are you saved by faith alone in Christ alone?

If you read the scriptures provided in reagrds to each statement made in the posts to you then you would not have asked any questions but because you do not believe the scriptures provided you ask questions that have already been answered through the scriptures that have only been sent in love as a help to you. You do not have to believe these scriptures if you do not want to, it is up to you.

Yep so if you once belived and followed God's Word yesterday and no longer believe and follow Gods' Word today are you God's Sheep?
That’s not a description of a sheep. Jesus never said that His sheep wouldn’t hear or follow.

It’s not the scriptures that I have a problem with. I just don’t know your understanding of them. So, are you saved by faith in Christ alone? It’s a simple question.

Indeed so those who once believed but fall away from believing and following God's Word then are not His Sheep *LUKE 8:13; HEBREWS 6:4-8; HEBREWS 10:26-31.

Maybe you can pray about it. As the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways from your ways says the Lord. No one can understand God's Word without God's Spirit *JOHN 14:26; JOHN 16:13; JOHN 7:17. If the son of man shall set you free you shall be free indeed *JOHN 8:31-36.

If they stop being His sheep, what are they?

People who believe the OP cannot say the following with hazeleponi's statement:
If a true believer can fall away, then there is nothing Jesus can do to keep them from falling. In their mind, Jesus is basically saying to them, "too bad, so sad." If Jesus cannot save them from themselves, then they have every reason to fear.

Sorry, but total wrong conclusions! I don't know about your upbringing, but if you had a loving family, were you ever afraid as a child you would leave your family, just because you could? Christ never leaves a Christian. If we love him, our security comes from knowing his love for us.
