My apologies to all concerned for the court jester that our Foreign Minister sent over to the USA as our ambassador.
He seems to have a screw loose, may I suggest you put him back in the box and send him right back.

The ambassador was merely stating what most people think about this President - Britain can change
ambassadors but there is no reason to believe that his opinion of the man in the White House will be any more favourable!

If most people thought that, he wouldn't have won the presidency.
Truth be told, the ambassador was only regurgitating what most media and other leftists spout about the president.

uhmmm...most voters didn't want him which is why his opponent got several million more votes then he did.

Orrrr...he spent more then 5 minutes talking to President Trump and simply reported what he observed first hand?
tulc(suspects that's the more likely reason) :sorry:

HI all,

Well, the British ambassador did the noble thing. He had been compromised and knew that his service in future would be limited. There is no one else in the world who holds a grudge like President Trump against someone that he believes is not approving of him. The ambassador knows this and knew that the proper thing for him to do so that the British government could replace him with someone who could regain President Trump's trust, was to resign. He did. Kudos for him.

I'm sure the UK government office will take care of him financially.

As for the UK government then declaring that they held the effectiveness of President Trump's administration in high regard, the Queen is not an idiot. She's seen the kind of treatment that President Trump doles out to those friends that have crossed him. Why would she even consider to support what the ambassador wrote, even if she believed it to be true. After all, she's met the man and knows exactly the kind of person that he is. One thing that I have always held in high regard among the British is that they may think the very worst of someone, but they will always treat them with respect and try to put on a good face.

There could be nothing gained but further problems if the governments official response was to support the ambassador's notes. Even if everyone in the government believed the notes to be a true representation of President Trump, they're not stupid enough to support that position in public. I say kudos for the Queen and her being circumspect.

I believe that in this matter, the UK government has shown great wisdom in how it has all been treated. They will have their service find and close the leak and then things will go on as normal without anyone outside of the 'need to know' group, having any idea what the ambassador thinks of the U.S. government.

God bless,
In Christ, ted

Given that this President and his supporters have given themselves "a blank cheque" to ridicule their political opponents, elected members of Congress, Muslims, Mexicans, women, judges with Hispanic surnames, the media, liberals, FBI directors, gold-star parents, military heroes, former employees, past Secretaries of State, prior presidents, NATO allies, American cities (Baltimore)other world leaders and anybody else who crosses "The Donald's" path - why are they so offended when they are on the receiving end?

The answer lies with an understanding of Trump's classical "narcissistic" behavior - a sense of entitlement whereby he has the right to demonize others but assumes that he should be exempt from any criticism himself!
