It really is crazy how Donald J. Trump, the person in the most prominent position in the United States of America has routinely attacked & abused all sorts of folks, from other politicians to private citizens. Not only have his words but his deeds been particularly and intentionally cruel to young children. He may not face consequence for that in this lifetime.

He was not sought out & liked everywhere prior to running for president. He was a joke in the 90s known as The Donald. On the D-list as much as Kathy Griffin. Then he was the host of a tacky reality TV show in the 2000s. In the 2010s prior to running for office he was best known for the racist birther conspiracy theory about President Obama. As Mrs. Obama explained, Donald's cruel actions inflicted a lot of harm on her family. Far more than Barron seeing the stupid photo of Kathy's - if he actually ever did. They received death threats from the racist lunatics Donald riled up with his nonsense. Did Donald ever apologize? Nope. He's proud to have inflicted pain on that family.

Kathy's photo was vile & disgusting. It was wrong. It wasn't illegal. I think she had some very stupid idea that it was art or something.It wasn't worthy of her receiving death threats, rape threats. For folks to spend more time outraged over the photo, over her successful comeback tour, than the actual cruelty being inflicted on children right now, to be more mad about that than the cruel daily attacks by Donald on citizens, is really a head shaker.

Comedians in general seem to be pretty foul in their acts. I was shocked watching the comedy routine by the fellow who plays the dad / grandpa from Fuller House. That man has got a filthy mouth. Filthy. Nonstop profanity. Yet he was on one of the sappiest wholesome family-friendly shows ever.

Most folks hinged to sanity & decency know that death threats & rape threats aren't the appropriate recourse for an idiotic photo shoot where nobody got hurt. Well Donald's pride got a boo boo. Some of his fans got their britches tide up in such a knot it might have been painful.

She did reap what she sowed though! She turned right around, went on a worldwide tour where she sold out major venues in just minutes. Ended it in the US by selling out Carnegie Hall. She self-financed the tour, which meant that she doesn't have to divide up the millions it earned among investors. The name of the tour is Laugh Your Head Off. Lol.

Certainly not, but it seems you agree that the photo shoot wasn't appropriate either - it could be construed as a threat. Not an earnest threat, to be sure, but the death threats against her apparently weren't in earnest either; nobody actually made an attempt on her life.

So, let me get this straight...taking a photo of a fake bloody beheaded Donald Trump and then turning around and selling out major venues in just minutes is somehow her "reaping what she sowed"? That's a pretty messed up way of putting it.

Besides, celebrities do terrible things all the time and yet they still rack in plenty of cash. So what? You literally prove no point in stating this. Like I was getting at before, their monetary and worldly success means nothing. It's all going to wash away anyway. Once they die, they can't bring none of that with them.

Of course the photo shoot wasn't appropriate. It was stupid, tacky, wrong. The majority of folks realize that. Most also know it shouldn't be interpreted as a threat. She was holding a cheap obvious mask covered in ketchup.

The actual threats not just she - but her family received - OTOH weren't for art, or political commentary, or whatever it was, they were real threats of violence. Her sister got threats too. Considering that a Trump supporter sent bombs to folks he'd called his enemies, it's not unreasonable she took the threats seriously.

What was messed up is that folks were saying the death threats, rape threats she received on account of that stupid photo shoot (if you can call it that since it was taken on a phone) where she's holding up a cheap mask with ketchup on it were just her reaping what she sowed. Most folks fully acknowledge that the photo shoot was indefensibly wrong. But it was not illegal. It wasn't deserving of the insane threats she received.

In the most literal sense the worldwide tour is her reaping what she sowed. It was called the Laugh Your Head off Tour. She financed it herself on account of not being able to get funding. She based a lot of it on having to find humor to get through the day when she was terrified by threats, all that. She sold out venues around the world in minutes. Clearly some folks out there have a concept of forgiveness.

Sorry you missed the point. Did you read the title of this thread? Did you read the OP? The thread is all about schadenfreude. It's all about finding gleeful satisfaction in the downfall of somebody critical of Trump. Christians sitting here whooping it up, enjoying themselves at the misfortune of somebody else. It's a pretty dang misleading thread title since it leaves out what happened next. Lots of things in life get wrecked - cars, careers. A wreck doesn't have to be the end of things. She salvaged her career.

As I told you before, what you were trying to get at about monetary and worldly success meaning nothing is applicable to every single person under the sun. Do you go around posting that in threads about any success of anybody else's?

Let's think about all of our young children that have seen some of Donald Trump's deplorable conduct. Let's think about all the children who heard the president of the United States take the Lord's name in vain at a rally. Who've heard him brag about grabbing women by their private parts. I saw a post where a kid here talked about being exposed to inappropriate content for the first time in her life on account of the massive coverage of Donald Trump's adulterous affairs with inappropriate content stars. She clicked on a social media post that had the names of the ladies, their inappropriate content came up. You showed not the slightest bit of concern about what that did to her. Instead got all puffed up on account of how you thought poor Donald was being "bashed" just for her recounting what happened to her. Let's think about all the young children who've read his multitude of Tweets lobbing cruel, disgusting, hateful insults to private citizens, elected officials, the heads of our allied nations. He's thrown out insults that are literally in the guidebook of what the federal government states as an ethic slur discrimination. What Kathy Griffin did was absolutely wrong. I doubt her wrong would have been brought to the attn of many folks had it not been for Donald & his family carrying on & on about it, making sure to give her tons of publicity. The amount of damage she's inflicted is but a thimble full in comparison to the person she was depicting. His actions have planted some bad wretched seeds in their souls, minds and hearts. So I don't think that we can say no one got hurt.

She grew up in an Irish Catholic home and educated in Catholic schools.

She has also incorporated her childhood faith in her comedy routine. Meaning she takes priests and nuns to task in her foul routine.

She was on the Jimmie Kimmel Show last night with the usual barbs from both of them. I don't know why I watched, ick, I never liked her and still don't.
