Republican Arizona state senator says US will 'look like South American countries' soon

Republican Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen believes the U.S. will soon "look like South American countries" because immigrants entering the U.S. and low birth rates among white people are contributing to a lack of cultural assimilation.

Speaking at a Republican Party event in Phoenixon July 15, Allen, of Snowflake, a city in Navajo County, said immigrants were inundating the U.S. — so much so that they can't learn "the principles of our country."

My gracious, what a truly ignorant & silly comment from that Republican senator. You ever been to South America yourself, Bob?

Oh the irony of that lady being from a city called Snowflake.

It's about the invasion of our country
Your choice of language is not helping your case. And neither are your misleading thread titles:

- In another thread, your misrepresent Omar Ilhan by saying she said we should fear white people. We all know that is not what she meant in context.

- In the present thread, you endorse “how the country will ‘look’” language.

- And is this very post you make the absurd claim of an invasion; by no reasonable standards is an invasion happening. Plus it is well-known that “invasion” is a term loaded with xenophobic history.

It is, of course, possible to mount a reasonable argument for restricted immigration. But you have a rather clear history of using some pretty suspicious language and tactics.

Depends on what the senator meant. Do you know? If so let me know. If not, are you not speaking from ignorance?

Again, I must ask, look like what? Has anyone answered this question yet?

I worked in the south and the migrant workers there urinated in the bathtubs at the jobsite in brand new homes. There were toilets installed but they didn't use them.
I've heard that horror about American workers, such as the dry wall workers, murders, and painters. We had to inspect our home daily to find items which needed corrections. They didn't like to see me coming around because I found a lot which needed it but it was my home and I wanted it done right.

All nations and races have both good and bad workers. We proved it, lets move on.

I understand your point -- thank you.

Our pastor is married to a lady whose father came from South America. She has many relatives in South America. They go there often to visit.

Their thoughts lean more towards the,
we are being invaded.

Of course their families waited in line and did it the legal way.

My uncle owns a construction company. It's been passed down through the generations for years. So plenty of stories. Men born and bred in the US of A have done exactly what you said the migrants did and more. He boots anybody who doesn't respect the job.

I've lived in the South my whole life with the exception of the summers spent up north working for my uncle. My grandparents live in a farming community that is surviving on account of migrant workers. They are respectable, decent, hardworking folks. Some of them have come along with us to volunteer doing a habitat for humanity style construction work in the Appalachia. They felt sorry for the American folks there who are as poor as all get out. Took pity on them, helped fix up their homes.

I never said migrant workers were not good employees, I just said some of them are bad employees just like American workers. Im attempting to refute an assertion that migrant workers are better than American workers. I have seen bad migrant workers, just like ive seen bad American workers.

That's right.
They are no better than anyone else.

Saying that they are is a racist comment.

immigrants were inundating the U.S. — so much so that they can't learn "the principles of our country."

There is a significant amount of truth to this. My mother says that when she came to America, newspaper stands in Manhattan were unattended and had boxes where you could drop cash and take a paper. The discipline of society was such that it would not be stolen. In New York City.

Leave alone the number of American Angel Families who have lost children to criminal immigrants as a result of vehicular or other homicide...today, you see headlines like this...

"I.N.S. Agent Accused of Selling Green Cards to Drug Dealers"

"An Immigration and Naturalization Service employee was charged yesterday with taking more than $100,000 in bribes in return for helping to provide Colombian drug smugglers with cards identifying them as permanent residents...

...The immigration service employee was identified as Christopher Matos, who was an inspector at Kennedy International Airport from 1985 until 1987 and now heads the agency's Hispanic employment program at I.N.S. headquarters in Washington."

I.N.S. Agent Accused of Selling Green Cards to Drug Dealers

The natural consequences of rapidly bringing in tens of millions of people from countries where corruption is rampant is importing that corruption.
