Now that we were redeemed we needed tools to continue to live a godly life

So Jesus came back and gave us the Holy Spirit

The gifts of the HS were necessary so that we could continue to fight the good fight going forwards.

Its a daily fight, a daily struggle.

After the Gospels, we have the book of ACTS.

The HS gave the apostles the power to take action.

Otherwise, we could just "sit around" and say we are saved and that is enough.

No, we must use the tools, otherwise the tools were given for nothing.

Think about it.

I'm not too bright, but it seems to me that Jesus' death took away all sin for all time. Otherwise, he would have to die over and over again. God gave us that gift if we choose to accept it. I did. I don't see him taking it away from me. I have eternal life. Not eternal just until I mess up later today. Long posts lose my interest quickly and I'm finding others are the same.

Yes, you are right!

What list did I write, and where?
Thanks.

Your OP; Satan's biggest lies to born again Christians.

Satan's biggest lie of all is to make us believe that God is not who he says he is; one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Satan's lies

I would not give the credit to Satan. The problem lies with the failure to recognise that Bible interpretation is a chaotic problem.

A chaotic problem is one that is very sensitive to initial input. For example, if one says that justify is 'to declare a person righteous', then 'declared righteous' is the initial input, and the gospel is skewed towards one interpretation.

Chaos follows the rules of grammar. For example, the genitive for 'the gift of God' can be subjective or objective. If one goes for the subjective interpretation, then he would look around for some gifts. The three most popular gifts are grace, salvation, and faith because they tend to be around the gift of God.

Until Bible scholars recognise chaos is the issue with Bible interpretation, Christianity will remain very divided. One possible answer to chaos in Bible interpretation is to adopt the complexity approach as suggested by the Bible (Proverbs 6:6-8).

Perhaps the OP should spend less time listening to the devil
and more time listening to the Gospel. - CryptoLutheran
NEWS FLASH
There are copious more dire warnings in the NT than there are
descriptions, explanations, invitations, etc. of the Gospel.

Some people even throw free gifts away at some point.
Yes.
It seems unimaginable that anyone would re-crucify Jesus daily, but many do.
It seems unimaginable that anyone would trample underfoot His Grace once they had tasted of His salvation and the power of the heavenlies, but many do.

One thing Jesus does not take away before people die ,

the reason they can lose their salvation,
is
they still have free will to do what they choose to do - woe to those who choose to be destroyed.

"It seems" ?
But it is not written.
No, Jesus does not have to die anymore , ever.
God DID NOT give most people on earth "that gift" --- only "few" find the gift, the narrow road to life. Most are on the wide road to destruction, because they refused to believe His Word and repent, to do what He Says and be saved.

Jesus cannot un-save you from your sins.
You can refuse the free gift of salvation. A bad choice.
Exactly.
Until a person dies, regardless if they were saved before or not, they can still turn away from Jesus and trample underfood His Grace, losing their salvation and never having any more any sacrifice for their sins, thus they perish forever, as written in God's Word.

Kind of. Jesus's blood cannot be un-spilt. So nobody ever "loses" their salvation.
But they can choose to ignore the forgiveness available. You can't be saved
from eternity without God if you do not honor the work of Jesus. If you depend
on yourself to fulfill the legal requirements, you can still be returned to the fold
of grace, with care.

But there is no escorting the Holy Spirit in and out and back in again.

I wonder if he meant, "Jesus cannot un-save you because of your sins."?

Meanwhile brother Jeff, thou dost understand the NT correctly ... re: OSAS.

If we did that the way your post seems to imply, we couldn't reply to the posts that oppose Jesus, nor help anyone.....
