Is that legalism ? The Scriptures don’t actually mention masturbation as a sin. Many young teenage boys and young men touch due to a surge in testosterone levels etc .
Yes, and many young teenagers are now impotent as a result of their inappropriate content addictions because the dont think it is a sin.

Exactly.
I've known many in that condition.

Don't listen to the wayward.
It's a sin.

Will feel and think much better --
when you stop sinning.

Repent while there is still time.

It is not lagalism to have repentance to turn away from sin and believe and follow God's Word. Those who are born again to love God follow him because they hear His Vioce (the Word) *JOHN 14:15

1 CORINTHIANS 6:18 [18], Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

How can masturbation be a sin of fornication? Especially if a husband is thinking and fantasising about his wife and has a need to release sperm?

As I have said, there is a difference between merely imagining your wife and fantasy. If you are imagining your wife in some unrealistic fantasy and doing thing you know she would never do, you are not thinking about your wife. Rather, you are lusting after a strange woman who is taking the appearance of your wife. This is damaging to your relationship because when you actually become physically intimate with your real wife, you are left comparing her to your fantasy and feeling disappointed.

Is it sinful for a married man to touch while thinking and having fantasies about his wife ?
Is it forbidden in The Holy Scriptures? Is it wrong to ask such a question ?

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart." - Matthew 5:27-28

You can't commit adultery with your own wife, when it's just you two. Therefore, as long as it's not getting off on her being with another person or an animal, it's fine (and if it is, that's sick).

"The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." - 1 Corinthians 7:3-6

Don't deny her and then get off as a tool for yourself to get by. It would be sin if you did.

Prayers are not often long, so that would seem the rest of the day is to be filled with whoopee?

Your post assumes a couple of things:

1 - that masturbation is "fornication." (Greek: inappropriate contentia) That cannot be proved scripturally

2 - that masturbation is inherently sinful. The one place it is referred to in scripture most clearly it is cast in a positive light. (Song of Solomon 5.2-5)

Amazing but sad after all of this time you have not a clue what I or our church believes.
What the church teaches and what any of us believe may be incorrect. I was raised in a tradition that taught that owning a pair of dice or a deck of cards was sinful. Going to the movies was sinful. Women wearing makeup or pants was sinful. Men having facial hair was sinful. And even accidentally smelling alcohol was the sin of drunkenness and nullified your salvation.

Thank God we have realized the error in all of that, and have moved on.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:18 [18], FLEE FORNICATION. Every SIN that a man does is without the body; but he that commits FORNICATION SINS AGAINST HIS OWN BODY

GREEK WORD FORNICATION; πορνεύω; inappropriate contenteuō From G4204; to act the harlot, that is, (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or (figuratively) practise idolatry: - commit (fornication).

The act involves indulging in unlawful lust. 1 CORINTHIANS 6:18 tells us to flee unlawful lust and that it is a SIN against the body. You are free to believe as you wish. We all answer to God come judgment day.

Song of Soloman says no such thing!

God's Word not mine.

Seems so unattainable and damaging applying this direction to masturbation. Just look at Dr Kellogg in USA and also Victorian attitudes in England & Scotland regarding masturbation cages and hand ties and horrendous gadgets used to stop boys and teenage boys from masturbating so cruel and often these Scriptures were used to justify applying dreadful treatments even forced circumcision without any anaesthetic on a teenage boy ! It’s completely cruel !
Carried out by Christian parents and even paying a dr to circumcise without any aesthetics in some cases even performed by the parent Father as a punishment for masturbation.

Is that what medical and surgical doctors and consultants and medical professional psychologists think about impotence in young men is at epidemic levels due to sinful inappropriate contentography ?

The act involves indulging in unlawful lust.
That is not provable from a biblical standpoint.

I am not saying it does not happen; I am sure it does. But it is NOT the act; rather it is the mental thoughts and fantasies that result in the lust.

The word for lust in Matt 5 is epithumeo - a strong desire. Elsewhere in the NT it is translated "covet;" as it is also used in the LXX to translate covet in the 10 commandments.

To covet is to desire and plan to take away something that is NOT YOURS. For a guy to imagine his wife, she IS his; and for that reason that is NOT LUST.

Nothing like our church.

We have a lot of freedoms.

Sounds like you were in the wrong church?
There are plenty.

Not good to bash God's church.

No longer there. But it was rather typical of Wesleyan Holiness teaching.

In high school and college and afterward, I did a lot of bible research to support or debunk all of those prohibitions. Almost all of them got debunked. Including the prohibition on masturbation.

I've never heard of any church recommending masturbation?

Of course man on his own can come up with all kinds of ideas.

Have you ever read Dr James Dobson's "Preparing for Adolescence?"

When the church I attended in college (who were VERY anti masturbation) saw his video series (before he wrote the book) they changed their stance and agreed with Dobson. They apologized for their stance from the pulpit.

But that is not what I wrote about. I was writing about my own biblical research on the subject.

Is putting aside prurient revulsion for masturbation the same as recommending it? I don't think so.

The site is an excellent one for answering Christian questions. On the point of masturbation I may not completely agree with them but, they pretty much hit it on the head here.
Masturbation - is it a sin according to the Bible?
Their video answers the questions regarding masturbation.
