How too keep the faith with swearing around me?

If all of the sinful things that surround us make you start to lose your faith, you need to put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6) and spend more time in prayer. Until He takes us home, it's only going to get worse here in this world. Paul tells us again and again to persevere.

I am jumping into this conversation mid-stream without reading the entire thread, but I'd like to ask you how your personal relationship with Jesus is going. Irregardless of what others are doing, how are you doing with spending time with Him in prayer, in reading His Word daily, in being fed the Word consistently (even if that means you "attend" an online church who's pastor teaches the word soundly), etc.? Are those things suffering?

Hello Tony, the Christian life is a struggle, Jesus told us while we were here on earth we will struggle, but please, take your eyes off others and leave God to deal with them.

Concentrate on your relationship with Jesus, pray and read your Bible, perhaps read a Psalm for instance Psalm 27 and go for a walk whilst trying to memorise say, verses 1 and 2
This will help immensely and I would also add that if the people who are continually swearing name themselves as Christians then I would personally stay away from them as bad company does corrupt. It is not having a good impact on you, so if it means leaving the group, well then I would.

Please,please do not allow others behaviors ruin your Christian walk. We are not responsible for them, do not look to them or anyone else.

Focus on JESUS and what He says. And when need be cry out to God for help.
Put on the whole armour of God, read Ephesians 6 and remember it daily.

I agree fully with what Heavenhome said. Focus on Jesus and, as my father in law used to say, "Keep your eyes 10 feet and above." (In other words, take your eyes off of man because they will let you down. But keep them on Jesus because He never will.)

After walking I listened to traditional jazz wearing headphones. Then I did listen to some Christian music had it put it loud when there were some risque teens that irritated me then 90's Dance. Now I am home I still feel crummy I don't feel rage from walking but still crummy.

Now Christians can hear that filth and still keep there faith. For me every time it is almost like a knockout. It still bothers me maybe not as much making me backslide but it still feels like I keep getting knocked out.

Pray for them .... and then let it go. We are bombarded and exposed to much evil and disgusting things ... there is just no way in getting away from all of it ... but don't let it steal your joy in the Lord.
