There's been a lot of debate regarding when exactly the feast of Shavuot takes place. I've been looking into the validity of these arguments, which means first looking into the timing of First Fruits itself.
The popular consensus is that First Fruits takes place on the high Sabbath following Passover (during Unleavened Bread), and that Shavuot is 50 days after this Sabbath. Although, some believe First Fruits is actually on the high Sabbath following the completion of the 7 days of Unleavened Bread, and that it doesn't interrupt this feast. Israel was commanded to celebrate it for 7 days; there's no mention of an interruption. Although, Yeshua did resurrect during Unleavened Bread, and He does refer to Himself as the First Fruits wave sheaf offering iirc.
Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
