But our aim is salvation. Jesus is salvation. Nothing is wortwhile without Jesus.

Here Zac Poonen spoke about tithing. He built 100 churches around the world without tithing.

A statement clearly fabricated by someone knowing nothing about cats or cat owners.

Some singles grew up in large families taking care of younger brothers or sisters, so thats a rather presumptuous statement.

Actually we adults can learn from their attitude. As Christian parents, we smile when they have no problem giving 10% or more of their allowance to God. We smile even wider if they were to tell us that they believe, even if they lack the money for anything after giving, they know that we as parents would give them more.

They give because they know that they are merely stewards of your money. All their money is yours and they give because they trust that you will never allow them to end up in lack.

I believe that is the same attitude as how our Heavenly father wants us to have. Even when we earn our monthly income, we are to recognize that all our money comes from him, and giving a % away shows our trust in this role as a steward of his money. Luke 16:1-13

That is correct Toro. While traveling in Italy two of the people in my tour group were brothers who have - yes, I heard this correctly - nine other siblings. I am not in a big family, but my sister is 11 years younger than me.

Also, I was 17 when I adopted my first cat. The cat I have now is only my fourth. So I do not know nearly as much about cats as people.

O.T. or New - it seems like it would be a no-brainer for me.

I can remember in my poor days feeling scared that I couldn't tithe. I hope never to be in that position again.

Guojing, I do not doubt all Christian parents would love to see their kids give money to the church. There is a huge difference in families like mine, however, and it comes from a Republican President. Democrats, not Republicans, know about money.

I give when asked, I do my best to follow Jesus commands, I do not care if he does not need it, Maybe he needs others love and me sending him money is a gesture of my love for him and this is what he needs.

By sending him money, I send my love with it.
